"Service was beyond awful and I mean atrocious!! Certainly not what you expect and what is supposedly the nicest restaurant in town. The waiter, Jim and absolutely zero skills as a waiter, seemed more like a engineer who was filling in at the last minute. Unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber and price. I am not the type to write a bad review, particularly a local spot that I want to love but the terrible service really put a dent in a friends bday dinner. Ambiance was great, food was a tad above average but not the level it should be for the price. All in all a major disappointment, will not return and will not reccomend."

"Great food!! Loved it. Just wished the salad would have come after the starters and before dinner. So I took it home. Lighting was a little bright. Would have been nice to have some more mood lighting. Other than that it was awesome!! Thank you. It was our anniversary and there was no mention of it even though our reservation notes said we were coming in for our wedding anniversary. I would definitely come back and enjoy the patio next time"

"Wife and I stayed here last weekend 4/30/22-5/2/22 and we were absolutely blown away with the ocean view we had which is why this spot gets an outstanding rating. The room accommodations were adequate, comfortable bed, fridge, TV., we did not take part in the restaurant that is attached to the place but it seemed to stay busy and it has a good rating plus it has tables right on the water. As you can see from the photos, this place is a real gem!"

"So happy this fair is back. I miss the nightly fireworks but it was nice to see familiar faces. MUST SEES or go tos are THE GEM AND MINERAL BUILDING WOLFE GEMS and Jewelry in the far corner. They have every price range. Whether you only have a few dollars or just live gems and minerals.... I promise you will find something. If you want homemade rolls OLD WEST CINNAMON ROLLS are a must. Eat it warmed up right there or take a 6 pack home with your favorite topping in a tin container conveniently located between the fair rides, food court, and on your way to a concert... and finally... save room for chocolate covered strawberries and a cheesecake caramel candied apple.... and yes, even chocolate dipped bacon at THE SWEET STOP SWEET SHOP... IN the middle of the food court. We are lucky to be by the Ocean and located in the building next to the Youth Expo is KATHIE'S CUSTOM JEWELRY. She has all kinds of sea glass jewelry with sterling silver chains. if jewelry isn't your thing, she makes beautiful framed custom pieces with sea glass and/or sea shells, right from the ocean. These places are my top picks plus its wonderful to support California small business owners... Your last stop in the way out is definitely for you fair memory photographs. Im so glad I have years of them. they are timeless and create memories to last a lifetime. VENTURA COUNTY FAIR is the BEST FAIR in the tri counties. So glad its back and the free concerts cant be beat. for games the best one is hitting balloons with hacky sacks. you can earn your way to the biggest prizes and yes they are wirth it plus its lots of fun popping the balloons. Thank you everyone for a great fair experience."
