"Visited this evening for food and a drink having seen a few local adverts that about their Thai menu. It didn't disappoint the Thai Yellow Curry was delicious, possibly the best we've ever tasted. Beer was great and the service friendly and prompt. Can't fault the place and we'll be back again soon.Great that our dog was made welcome too especially as we were avoiding fireworks!"

"Our party arrived at different times and having not seen each other for nearly years lots of chat. We were told we would need to order quickly as the kitchen closed at no problem. All meal were good and great time being had...when at approx we were told they were closing at ! We felt really let down, had we been told we would have gone elsewhere, spending a good sum of money we were expecting to have a decent time to sit , relax with dinner and drink. we arrived approx at and out the door at As leaving I approached who I thought was the manager for the evening, well that was deaf ears if ever I encounted , well its a thursday, we open later on a weekend ... sadly poor . I do not often leave bad feedback but I definately will think twice before returning"

"We went to this pub on the Wednesday for a meal and was so impressed with the warm welcome, the food and the service that we returned for Sunday lunch. We were not disappointed- the roast beef lunch was absolutely delicious and the service delightful! Will return again! Thank you!"

"Lovely community owned pub in a quiet village in Suffolk. Staff are all friendly and chatty. Have guest ales on as well as usual pub drinks. We didn’t try any food other than a chocolate hazelnut cheesecake which was great. Check opening times and food service before you go, as this is a community pub things change."

"We arrived at the Village Maid and were made welcome by the staff. I ordered Fish Pie but what came up was nothing like a fish pie . Normally it’s cooked in its own individual bowl and you can then order sides to go with it .What came up was peas, cabbage , a large piece of broccoli , a few bits of fish floating in a very bland sauce , with a dollop of warm mash placed on top . It didn’t have any flavour and shouldn’t have been described as fish pie . I would never have ordered this had I have known what was going to be served . When the waiter came back to take our plates he asked us if everything was ok . I told him what I’ve said here that it can hardly be described as fish pie as it was just not cooked the way a fish pie is . He said that he had received feedback like that before and that the wording on the menu should be changed . So my point is why are they still describing it as fish pie!! It’s misleading to say the least , very disappointed with the food here"
