"What a gem or a pub and restaurant. Wow! Friendly welcome from all staff and the chef. Clean and masks worn and great service. Historic building with a lovely atmosphere with ghost stories, beams and the open log fire. The food was outstanding, from the most juice garlic bread to the tender steaks and great portions of sweet desserts. Thank you Khalid and team for a wonderful evening and I cannot recommend your place enough. No foodie photos as we ate the lot but see you soon for more!"

"Haven 't visited for a while, and will not being going again. The menu is limited, and apparently al a carte . How can an American diner be al a carte . I cant really fault the food, it was lovely, but £45+ for 1 nacho starter, 2 burgers and 3 halves of cider is a rip off. If I had known that the Celtic Manor had its finger in this pie, I would never have gone. Sawyers was an authentic American diner,now it is over priced burgers."

"Arrived 30 minutes before closing (8.30). A very polite young lady took my order with a not so polite elderly woman chiming in with brash comments in the background throughout. The elderly woman then turned around to walk towards the rear of the shop and stated i will have to turn the chip fryer back on now for F$*k sake . She made it abundantly clear that this was an inconvenience and did not want my custom. I explained to the young lady (who was clearly embarrassed and really did not deserve to witness the old woman 's disgraceful attitude that I didn 't visit to receive such rude behaviour and to let the clearly disgruntled woman know not to inconvenience herself. If the old woman is not the owner she needs dealing with. If she is, she may want to consider that a business without customers doesn 't do too well."
