"It was our first time visiting this place, and it was one of the worst experiences especially after spending 230 +19 tips, for ordering 2 pounds of shrimps,1 crab and a lobster. We told the server it was our 1st time and if she could help us in placing a normal food order, the prices are not on the menu,it’s written “price of the market” !! The server tild us the crab pound was 36 and didn’t even tell us that the one they brought was 2.5 pound and it would cost us around 83 ,and the taste was so weird nothing worth the price,so if you’re planning to visit this place just think twice."

"I had the regular Philly cheesesteak. It was pretty good although it could use a little more meat in it. I would definitely go back again"

"If the coffee doesn't wake you up, Marty's service sure will! Most of my Yelp! reviews usually focus on word of mouth recommendations or great service. This one features both. But first, seriously, Marty was a huge part of our breakfast experience! Food, atmosphere, and value aside, go to Tallyrand to sit at Marty's table! During a local visit, our shuttle driver highly recommended Tallyrand for breakfast. Now that we have dined there, it's easy to see why it's been voted Best Breakfast in LA (multiple times). And our meal validated the shuttle driver's suggestion. We were staying at a nearby hotel and Tallyrand was within walking distance. When we stepped inside, I knew it was going to be good. This place has been open over 60 years and it had that classic breakfast joint feel. You don't stick around that long without being good at what you do. Speaking of being good, the food is excellent! The pancakes are just as billed. Extra eggs and buttermilk makes a difference. And I don't know what they did to my scrambled eggs, but I wish I could make them this fluffy. Everything on our plates was amazing and cooked exactly how we wanted. Plus, the food came out very quickly. Marty was so kind and had a fun, engaging personality. Even if you go to Tallyrand and don't get Marty, you will not be disappointed!"

"The consistency is underestimated and underestimated in our “I want it now” society. Everyone wants the latest, hipest thing, regardless of whether it's good. I've been driving to Tallyrand for 10 years on a weekly or daily basis. In conversation with Mark, one of the owners, it is nice to hear that he does not compromise on his ingredients. He knows what works and is consistent. He once told me that he can't change his turkey recipe because he has it on a science and couldn't make it better and he's right. If you do something good, why change? Sometimes it's difficult not to confuse with success. I look forward to Saint Patrick’s Day every year for her horned beef and cabbage. They offer a hearty part of beef with cabbage with boiled potatoes and carrots. I'm trying to get there early because sometimes there's a waiting time. The beef is cooked for perfection and is lean. For breakfast this place has the best oatmeal hands down. It is thick and creamy and you can have fresh fruits or raisins as it comes with one side of brown sugar, butter and milk. I always eat mine with just butter and equal. For about a year I've been eating this everyday life and I've never had it. The chili hash and eggs are to die as the hash browns are beautiful and carmelised and add a perfect crunch. King Burrito is satisfying and filling. Sunday has eggs Benedict with a Hollandaise sauce that is freshened this morning. This sauce is directly from a Le Cordon Bleu textbook for quality and taste. Once you've eaten here for breakfast, it's kind of hard to go to one of these chains places. Tallyrand offers fresh ingredients at a reasonable price. Surely you will find a cheaper breakfast place, but the food will simply not be so good and satisfying. Other highlights include Hamburger Steak (meat ground fresh daily), Cobb Salat and the appetizer board, which really sets a smile on your face. Heads up, 10. March they rolled their prices for their 50. Anniversary"

"If I could give them zero stars I certainly would. A cautionary tale don't go to Don Cuco restaurants. Last Saturday I was celebrating a birthday with a dozen people here. Food was mediocre at best, and the restaurant was hot and stuffy. I took off my favorite bracelets and put them on the seat next to me because they were bothering me in the heat. Twenty three bead bracelets collected from around the world. About 2 minutes later my friend got ill and was taken away by ambulance to Providence Medical Ctr. In all of the commotion I forgot my bracelets, but fully expected that when I left the hospital and headed back there they'd be waiting for me. After all what kind of a person steals someone's jewelry when their best friend was just taken away in an ambulance??? Manager took ZERO responsibility for them missing, even though no other guests were seated in that booth after us it was late at night I was in the furthest seat in the restaurant in the FAR BACK CORNER. No customers could have even seen these black bracelets on a black leatherette seat. NO WAY NO HOW. So clearly they were stolen by an employee. The manager was rude and uncaring, had zero empathy and never even asked how my friend was doing in the hospital. A total jerk. I wouldn't step foot in this place again and I'll see to it through social media that plenty of others follow suit."
