Everything on the menu is a great choice, and you’ll be surprised how much you enjoy something you wouldn’t typically order. After dozens of visits, I’ve never had a dish I didn’t like, never encountered any kind of problem, and always enjoyed every single craft cocktail I’ve tried. Americana is a Des Moines staple and a guaranteed good night out. Very fairly priced for the quality Worth every dollar, highly recommend."

"What a great evening on a date night!! The service was done with excellence! Asmir delivered the best service, timing each dish perfectly and ensured that our glasses were always filled. The food... superb!! The fillet mignon was grilled to perfection, real potatoes and the asparagus boiled soft on the outside crispy on the inside!! The cook, Pino, took the time to come to our table, so we could tell him what a wonderful work he did!! It was well occupied and only a great environment. Thank you for the great evening!!"

"Highly highly highly recommend this wonderful hidden gem of a BBQ house. When I hear people talk about smoked meats, BBQ house, or pitmaster meat markets, I always have to question their taste buds and wonder their sanity when I leave fully disappointed. Smokey D's on the other hand, is by far the best BBQ I have been to in a very long time. Tender, juicy, filling, perfect heat to sweet. Recommend Saucy D sandwich with X-fiery sauce for those not wanting the finger liking experience. I will be back for multiple testings. :"

"Manager Marita is the best. When me and my friend were waiting for a ride, she offered to pet us stay in the building for longer than usual closing time. It was nice since we felt like our needs were prioritized and to her son, happy late birthday. Sorry for the late review."

"Well it 's been renamed as the Vibe with we were told new owners and management. We 're still working through the alphabet of restaurant names and this got us the V . Okay, I can 't say that much has changed or improved. Again, we went on a Thursday night and service wasn 't any better. Wife and I ordered fried pickles for appetizer and it came out quickly. Hot but bland. When we asked for an additional ranch dressing the waitress appeared annoyed the first of many. Asked her about happy hour specials she went and asked, she came back with an annoyed response. I ordered a draft Ruthie from Exile and their cowboy burger for dinner. The beer had an off metallic taste to it (I drink alot of Ruthie). The burger looked impressive, stacked with veggies, bacon, thick juicy burger and stacked with onion rings and a couple of jalapeno slices. It didn 't taste as good as it looked. No seasoning on the meat at all. Asked for additional bbq sauce to help it and received another annoyed look. The string fries were undercooked and again, no seasoning. We asked for salt, twice more annoyed looks. Each time just a couple of small, single salt packages. Asked for more napkins, I had to go up twice to the bar and get them myself. I wish this new restaurant the best, but both times I 've visited I haven 't been impressed to go back nor recommend. Grumpy Goat Tavern Review: Not a busy place on a Thursday night but service was TERRIBLE! We came in and bartender didn 't know how to make a black Russian drink and had to instruct her how to do it. Moved inside from the patio and 20 minutes at the table (with just 4 other tables occupied) had to go and ask for who our server was. Finally placed our order and about 10 mins later she came back to tell us there was a problem with one of the meals. 10 minutes!?! Thirty minutes later we 're still waiting for food to arrive. The one order of appetizers arrived with food another 10 minutes after that. We HAD to ask for silverware! One of us ordered the brie and it was scorched to the bottom. Seeked out the manager, T.K., and explained my concerns and issues. He said their staffing was off due to an earlier group of 75. Just heard of this place and first most likely only time I 'll come here. Positives: offered a desert or shot for the birthday boy.T.K. offered me a $25 gift card as an apology. 9 people in our group 4 separate bills. The birthday boy got the gift card. Server was nice, busy the whole time."
