"We stopped picking up some breakfast items before a long trip. the place was ready and set up for the day. everything looked delicious and I wish I had tried everything. the personal was very nice to me. I think the facility must be clearer. the money is left at the road entrance. the utensils on the street entrance door. washrooms back left in restaurant."

"My first time here! I live close enough, but honestly just forget it's here. It's a fantastic Italian deli and I'll be coming back!I came for fresh mozzarella and a variety of cured meats for a sandwich. I left with hot sopressata, hot capicola, and Genova salami, fresh mozzarella, and artichoke hearts. Everything was fantastic, but the marinated artichoke hearts were really the standout! It wasn't super acidic and tangy like I'm used to. It was mildly flavored and tender--yum!There were some other pickled items, plenty of Italian groceries, and some other cheeses. Please note parmigiano reggiano is a solid $15/lb! As of this review, Trader Joe's is selling the same imported cheese for $17/lb--this alone is a significant win.They serve sandwiches and some other deli items. Also plenty of desserts from cakes, frozen treats, and cannolli. Haven't had any of those, but I'll give it a go at some point."

"Service was fantastic. Appetizers were pretty good meatballs had a good sauce, but were a little dry; zucchini flowers were tender, but under seasoned; Auberginen-App was ok but didn't stand out. My Gnocchi court was average, but the Mezzi Rigatoni of my wife was very good. But I was very disappointed at the desserts. All desserts were 1 star for me (and we tried 4 different in our group). Go to Al Dente for pasta and service and go somewhere else to dessert."

"Consistently amazing food and service. Atmosphere is like no other restaurant within 100 miles, and you can always count on a quiet relaxing meal. If you don’t live in the town of Washington, get in your car and make the trip. You will be planning your next visit before you leave the restaurant. I already made reservations for their Sunday brunch for Easter and Mother’s Day because it will fill up quickly. If you have a reason to spend the night and need a place to stay, be sure to check out their rooms upstairs. It’s like staying at a bed-and-breakfast."

We found out when we went inside to pickup our foodBeing still desperate for pizza we ordered again in personThe pizza was as expected but I got a slide with a broken piece of white plastic inside. If they didn't cancel our order and didn't have plastic inside I would have given them 4 stars. They were nice and the pizza was ok, so I didn't think 1 star was appropriate."
