"Been going here for years. You 're likely to be greeted by hello my friend! if you ' be been there more than twice in the last year. Small place and very casual almost with the atmosphere of an old diner . Run mainly by a family. Classic variety of Vietnamese pho, but the broth is obviously homemade ... Much more flavourful than most places and less salty. A numbers of French influenced dishes as well chicken rice hotpot and chicken grand mere farci are particularly notable. Very good sized portions and cheap. I can ' t figure out how they make a living at these prices."

"Got the Hainan Chicken rice. It came with the dark soy sauce already poured over the chicken, chili garlic sauce on the side, cucumber, and tomato. Chicken was moist and tender and rice was flavourful. Would come again. Cash only."

"This place has been here for years and years and has served the local working and middle class Chinese (and other) residents well. It is located at Champlain Square, a small mall in a largely residential area. The interior is clean, bright and updated. It is a pleasant place for a family to eat in. It also does a steady take out business. I don't know if there is delivery. The food is authentic Chinese cuisine. The chow mein is done exactly how I want and expect, some of it soft and some still crunchy. The meat and vegetables are fresh and colourful. I also like the Hainanese Chicken, the skin is yellow and the meat is moist and slightly pink at the bone (just right). There is also some western items on the menu.The portions are generous and the prices are modest. This is a good place to eat in East Vancouver and in a city where you can find hundreds of Chinese restaurants."

"The food is almost what i had when i was in Taiwan. The restaurant is packed with chinese people, mostly taiwanese who misses home cook food. Order the Pork Knuckle rice, it's lovely. The fried chicken nugget rice is good too."

"My husband and I and 2 adult children went to Havana 's for brunch on Mother 's Day. The restaurant was very lively and fun. The food was great. We had the Senora, the Clubhouse, and the Chorizo Hash. Very tasty. But the best part of our experience was our server Laura. She greeted me with an arms wide open Happy Mother 's Day ! She was super friendly and hilarious. She bantered back and forth with us all. It made our brunch all the better. It was an all around great experience. I wish every server we had in a restaurant could be as great as she was!"
