"Our experience with contracting a venue in short notice with El Rey was over-all a pleasant experience. The management team was very attentive courteous to our concerns. The event was executed in a professional manner, the presentation of the venue itself the food was outstanding. The staff handled the guests in a warm welcoming way and respectful to all our concerns. The manager at the end of the event thanked us and made sure our experience was to our satisfaction. "Had the jerk chicken and festival. And it was delicious. The only thing I'd change is the amount of sugar that's added to the festival, or better yet, they should use powdered sugar as I've seen used in other restaurants. The sugar crystals tend to crystallize which made their festival too crunchy and hard after a while. Delicious, but just a suggestion."

"Ive eaten from this restaurant plenty of times and the food is ALWAYS good! However, today I wasnt too pleased with my order. The sweet chilli wings were dry and the small side order of Rasta Pasta was packed in with the wings, salad, and rice and it was a mushy mess! I dont think I will order the sweet chilli wings again. Maybe Ill stick with the shrimp because it was much better!"
