"My boyfriend just went down to get chicken fillet wraps and asked the gent to make sure there was no onions in it just the chicken, mayo and lettuce. Everything was fine until I've started biting more into the middle of the wrap where I've...found not only a piece of onion which I didn't ask for as it gives me a horrible stomachache, but also bits of mint which made the wrap horrible and bitter in taste. I've spat out most of my food and now going in to work hungry. I always go there and this is the first time I couldn't even digest my food."

"While staying in the Warren Lodge next door on business, I decided upon eating at The King’s Head for my evening meal after reading the excellent Tripadvisor reviews about their Thai cuisine. Upon arrival however I was informed by the staff that the Thai restaurant was no more and they now served pizzas and burgers instead. This needs to be reflected on their website as they still have the Thai menus listed. I plonked myself into a corner of the restaurant and ordered Camembert Bites for my starter and the burger with sweet potato fries for my main. The waitress was very friendly and the starter was very good, however, I was a bit surprised to find halfway through my starter that the chef emerged from the kitchen and put my main course on the table. I was still eating my starter (this was apparent by my mouth full of Camembert) but he shrugged it off as “no-one had told him that I’d had a starter as well” and left the burger on the table in front of me. I noticed that I had been given regular fries instead of sweet potato fries but didn’t make a fuss about this as the waitress seemed very sweet. I wolfed down the rest of my starter and moved straight to the main course as I didn’t want it to go cold and, in fairness, the food was very good, it just seems the organisation of the place is a bit lacking. While at my table, a friendly dog appeared and came over for a fuss before walking into the middle of the restaurant and taking a huge piss on the rug, much to the consternation of the wait staff. At the very least, I felt entertained! All in all, a very nice pub with excellent food and friendly staff. They just need to get the communication right between the kitchen and restaurant. I get the impression the place has just changed hands so I imagine this is the sort of thing that will be ironed out in the coming months. I certainly would like to visit again."

"My husband and I had the most delicious pizza and lasagne this evening. We had reservations but they were completing unfounded. If you want a hot pizza or pasta dish, made fresh with plenty of tasty ingredients for a very reasonable price then this is the place to go!!!"

"Paid £48 for 3 Sunday lunches to be delivered. Food was prepared at 2.14pm and delivered an hour later by Red Lion driver. Stone cold, congealed sauce. Beef was tough and had gristle running through every piece. Disgusting will never order again from there."
