"This was great! I can’t believe I haven’t tried this before. Excellent service and the loaded French fries are delicious. The ingredients actually taste fresh and for the price, it’s a steal. The only thing that could have been better would be the fried mahi mahi. It was a bit tough but I guess I’d rather overcooked vs undercooked."

"Loved this restaurant. The food is so good and we came at least once a week since we found out about it.Ordered tonight for pickup and the woman said “they just saw it” when we arrived 15 minutes after ordering it (when it was supposed to be ready . I even saw the unopened Slice notification on the tablet when I got there before she noticed me standing there. So no, you did not “just get it”— you just weren’t paying attention : she said it would be another 15 25 minutes. I asked if they could rush a little bit since we had driven all the way to pick it up. She said 20 minutes and I said okay we’ll be back.My boyfriend goes back in 30 minutes later and she said they cancelled our ENTIRE order because “they did not have anything besides the pasta.”We ordered chicken, fries, soup, salad, and pasta.If you “don’t have anything,” why are you open??? Why wouldn’t you tell us when we FIRST got there??? Honestly think she was lying.She also never called us. Whoever is working at the front desk tonight is going to make you lose customers.Terrible customer service and she had a horrible attitude. We had a long day and just wanted dinner at our fav Italian spot.Don’t work in customer service if you’re not gonna do you’re job ! :"

"Second delivery order. This time I tried the wild salmon wrap. It was very tasty, fresh and of high quality. I also tried the veggie empanada. It had a flavorful buttery shell and had healthy greens inside. The pizza in this order was good again. This place has decent pricing for the quality food and healthier ingredient options."

"Sambal seems to be more blah, blah, blah than ooh la la. My crispy chicken was perfectly dehydrated in the crisping process. The tamarind sauce could only be described as paint clinging desperately to a dry canvas. Even a simple garnish was MIA on my plate. Let me now share my thoughts on the spicy tuna maki. I 'm a Texan, but I know that one shouldn 't bathe his maki in soy sauce. I swear to Jesus that roll had marinating in some coarse salt for some time. And the low-sodium soy sauce? Well, I 'd say it needs to be sent back to a lab for sodium concentration levels. In all fairness, the Ginger Saketini and the Elderflower Fizz were mixed to perfection and elegantly presented. Hats off to the mixologist. Perhaps he should lend hand in the kitchen? Thank you, but no thank you. I can make dried chicken at home any time. :"

"This place has it all excellent food, good prices, waitresses in ill fitting and uncomfortable looking polyester uniforms. We had the red snapper, pollo asado, frijoles negros and arroz blanco, platanos maduros and tostones. The maduros were a tad dry. Like all Miami Cuban establishments, the folks who run Ayestaran are incredibly gracious to Americans who attempt to order in Spanish. I lived in Miami as a child in the '70s and used to eat at the now closed Casablanca Ayestaran has adequately filled the space left behind by Casablanca 's closing."

"I went to the 2006 Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show and intentionally flew into Miami instead of Ft. Lauderdale, so I could eat at La Carreta while waiting for my return flight to New Orleans. I learned about the food several years ago when I asked an American Captain where to eat Cuban in the Airport. He said the only place in Miami for Cuban food was La Carreta. Having traveled to Miami on numerous occasions and eaten in many Cuban restaurants....he was right. It is the best, and being from Louisiana, I know food!"
