"This Restaurant was booked days in advance to celebrate a 6 yo birthday. The booking was made for 4pm. This particular Macca's was booked as it is relatively new, 'though not the closest to the Host parents residence. The booked area, a separate room for such occasions, was not ready at 3.45pm. There were still numerous customers enjoying their purchases, and of course the associated mess that goes with kids eating was evident on the tables and floor. Concerned, the B'day child's mother approached the counter. Eventually she was granted an audience with a staff member, and she expressed her concern. Minutes later a youth was sighted in the room and minutes after that he left, but little appeared to have been done. With almost 5 minutes to go and the guests having started to arrive, she again went to the counter and expressed her concerns. She was told that someone was taking care of business. She asked who and pointed to an empty room in much the same state of readiness as when she first spoke to the other staff member, who at this time was serving another customer. A female employee with very limited English entered and got the job done. The Guests had all arrived, approx. 16 kids with their mothers. The Host mother took the orders of the children, who all basically wanted variations of the kids Junior packs which includes a "toy". In fairness to the Staff at this Macca's outlet the orders started to come out in a very reasonable time. However as they were distributed it was noticed that the "Toy's" were not included. The Host mother approached a staff member who apologised and delivered/distributed to the affected kids at this time. The next load of Food came out with the same observation, this was corrected as earlier. The last load of Party food came out and again the "Toy's" were missing. I approached the counter and asked to speak to the Manager, the woman with the limited knowledge of English looked at me quizzically. I spoke to another person and whilst speaking the actual Duty Manager arrived. I spoke to him and explained what had happened, and relayed the entire experience. While I was talking to him a Junior Female Staff member interrupted me and stated that it was Policy not to put the "Toy's" inside the boxes!! I, in turn turned my attention to her and told her that what she had just shared was a load of rubbish. In every other McDonalds that I had been in and had had occasion to purchase this particular meal the "Toy" had always been inside the box, and I turned my attention back to the Duty Manager. Now in fairness to the Duty Manager, he did apologise to the Host Parent and he did immediately take effective steps to ensure that all of the kids had received their "Toy". On the food side of things, the chosen foods were enjoyed by all and sundry, the fries were fresh, the nuggets, burgers etc were fresh and nearly all eaten with very little wasted. It is a great initiative to have a separate room for functions such as these 'cos then the noise, and there was some, was contained to there and the nearby play area. Thus leaving the other mothers and other guests to enjoy some piece and relative quiet. The Duty Manager did say, in his defence, that this was the first time he had worked this shift. Well good luck with that and welcome to the world of McDonalds."

"Staff was friendly and the food was delicious. Ordered the Tom Kha to start and it was superb. I got the red curry chicken and my partner got the beef noodles. Both great dishes. My only suggestion would be to make the traditional curry ingredients (basil, Thai eggplants, etc) as an option rather than the contemporary Australian vegetables. We will be coming back!!"

"We ordered the massaman bark curry, red curry chicken, bark meat with ginger sauce and honey (not on the map, but she did it for us anyway! . we also have veg fried rice and some early rolls. everything was delicious! was especially good the meat cure. we will definitely order from here again."
