"A demanding restaurant where the owner chef himself buys meat directly to the farmer. the quality of ham and homemade sausages is high. this restaurant is recommended if you want to enjoy the cuisine of the Alsatian terroir. dessert is omaron torch, not white. softness is modest whatever the rich appearance and taste of chestnuts is remarkably delicious."

"The two of us had mixed reviews of this unprepossessing restaurant in the centre of Selestat. The décor is really basic, but this does not reflect the quality of the cuisine. I really enjoyed my Daurade main but my foie gras poele avec cepes et...poires entre was disappointing – the pan frying seemed to lose its marvellous strong flavour that is such a highlight on French menus. My wife was more equivocal, but did agree it was a good if not great meal. The waitress was very helpful, allowing us to sample several wines before selecting our bottle. As often in France, conversing in French helps create a good rapport, although the waitress did speak English, probably better than my French."

"During our stay in selestat we were here two times darker. the portion was generous, for the selection stood for 4 euro boef, poulet and mixte, of course with salat, optionally also with feta. there are also yufka, lahmacun and various other things. in the load there are some tables, so you can eat there too.The load is well visited, so it can come to waiting times."

"After two days of canoeing in the surroundings, we were relieved to eat something hot ! Maggie, the chef, was not supposed to cook this Sunday evening, but I guess we looked despaired and she is such a hearted person that she kept some tajine and cuscus from the lunch so we were able to eat. Plus, she is a good pastry chef, her quiche pie was the best we 'd ever eaten ! I recommend the all-inclusive package, with camping, food and canoeing. (German, French and English workers)"
