"10 years we come to 10 to valmeinier... we cross the whole ski resort to eat every noon in Meregers!!! Quality of exceptional food, adorable proprios! Denis the savoyard with an EXCEPTIONAL humour, and Laëtitia his daughter of a kindness that I rarely met! Every year, I come here every year, I look forward to returning to the Meregers. "Gouter crêpe and dinner on an evening of January 2023 and re-experience for pancakes January 2024, always the same atmosphere. Inside the very nice establishment. Interior style of a pasture barn. The food is medium, no more and in the average prices of the same type of establishments. The staff is great and pleasant unlike the boss who does not reserve a welcome of the most attractive, not pleasant at all. It does not support pushchairs inside its establishment or umbrellas. "I booked this restaurant on recommendations from tripadvisor and was not disappointed! I managed to send an email with the help the of a friend in French as my communication in English was not answered. Franck replied and via my translator we were booked in...for a party of 10 for my daughter's birthday celebrations. On arrival in Valloire I popped in to confirm my booking and found Franck so friendly and kind and with the help of sign language and my broken French I was assured that the evening would be a success. On arrival Franck made us feel very welcome and the restaurant had a wonderful warm feeling. The kids were rather confused when they opened the menus and saw no English translate, but Google Translater came out and we figured what was what on the menu. I had snail as a starter....delicious! The mains did not disappoint either and we all had a little nibble from each other's dishes. Sylvie came out of the kitchen to say hi and and she made the birthday girl a lovey desert with a massive sparkler. It was such an enjoyable evening and we all agreed that we had found the most friendliest Frenchman, Franck, in all of France. If we ever go back to Valloire I will most certainly pop in to say hi and have some great food. The best Genepi in town as well! Thank you Franck and Sylvie."
