"My husband and I were in search of a pre-mother's day dinner and had been turned away from four other completely full restaurants in the area. We pulled out our phone and googled nearby restaurants and decided to try this one. Boy are we glad we did!The outside of the restaurant could use some work. The sign is old and dirty, there is a broken down car with a tarp on it being stored right in front, the windows are dirty and filmy making it hard to see inside.HOWEVER, inside the restaurant is clean and tidy. The tables are new and have sunken induction burners installed with individual controls, so that eat eater at the table has a safe place for their own pot of broth. There are four broth choices and we tried the Tom Yum and Spicy broths. Both amazingly flavourful and we couldn't get enough. There is a cold buffet with a bounty of frozen meats, seafood and vegetarian options. There is a fresh buffet for noodles and vegetables. Eat as much as you can cook in your pot of broth over the night. Additional broth is just $5.My husband and I spoke to each other very little over the course of our meal, other than to offer each other a bite of something amazing or to just say yum. The staff were super helpful, being that we were the only Caucasians in the place, providing us with how to's and good food choices to try. I can't wait to come back with our children. Bangkok Hot Pot exceeded our expectations."

"I have been visiting Sorrentino's South for a few years now and keep going back. Located in an old barnhouse look alike, all brick, it has this Soho New York style look. The interior is a mid-century design, with beautiful decor, gorgeous mozaic wall...and chic furniture. The lighting is just perfect, deemed the way nobody can see the wrinkles on your shirt! warm and cozy. There is a very private and elegant room behind a glass wall with a double fireplace that is well suited for private functions that I yet dream to book. The menu is supberb. All the main course dishes are worth a praise, but my favourite is Roast Chicken with grilled veggies and mashed (deliciozo) potatoes as well as Duo of Veal grilled with mushrooms and vegetables. The lounge;s happy hour menu is also attractive with a few yammy starters that are to die for. There is stuffed mushrooms with shrimp and cheese, or Italiam style tacos, chili lime infused shrimps, just to mention a few. Chef's original poutine is the best that I have ever tried and am addicted to The management and staff are very professional and attentive. There is plenty of free parking in front and the location is right! Love it!!!!"

If they want to make it to edmonton and eat a really good Italian, they come here. we're coming back. "We went to the new Old Strathcona location not the one listed on Tripadvisor on 103 St. My wife and I and two friends ate at the restaurant on Saturday evening. We ordered hot and sour soup which was ok but a lot of tofu and much better H&S in Edmonton. We then ordered green onion cakes as an appetizer. these were puffy and fine but only hot sauce was available, no vinegar soy sauce. For our main course we ordered Cashew chicken, seafood with mixed vegetables and ginger beef. The cashew chicken had so few cashews you could count them on one hand. The vegetables consisted of celery with a couple of thin slices of carrot. The seafood dish had a decent variety of seafood but the mixed vegetables consisted again of only celery. The ginger beef was ok but much better available at many Chinese restaurants in the area. It is August and there is a lot of local produce available so why only celery? Service was poor. We asked for water which never came. No one stopped by to see if we needed anything during our meal or if the tea needed refilling. There was only one other table occupied so the staff was not overworked. Overall a very disappointing dinner."

"The food is amazing here as you can taste that it 's all made fresh and bursting with genuine flavours. The portion sizes are great for how much you 're paying. The waiters and staff are super friendly and efficient even when it 's really busy. The Cumin Lamb and Ying Yang Rice are very delicious and favourite dishes of mine. This is definitely what is imagined when you think of authentic Chinese food. Food 5/5 Atmosphere 4/5 Price 4.5/5 Staff 5/5"
