"Great place to stay, the location is perfect. There's a lot to do. Eating was okay, the portions were pretty small and overpriced. The vegan breakfast was very small, there was only dry toast no butter, tomatoes, 2 moving mountains sausage, baked beans and mushrooms. "Ordered 4 piece of chicken and a garlic bread with cheese . Ordered the chicken no chips due to allergy and a thin base garlic bread . When it arrived chips were with the chicken so had to throw that away. Opened the garlic bread and found it was thick crust . All in all a complete waste of £14"

"My boyfriend and I went for the Steak and Lobster night and it was amazing. We pre-ordered our meals so when we arrived we were seated at our table and had time to relax and have a drink before the food came out. Once the food arrived it was phenomenal. So fresh, so tasty, and beautifully presented. The weighting on team were so tentative and the owner made the personal touches of coming speaking to all his guests which I found really added to the family vibe. I’ve been to Lonestar so many times because everything about the place is just perfect. Would always highly recommend to anyone."

"Never been disappointed with a Wetherspoon’s yet and this one is no different. Always able to find a good meal and a drink at a reasonable fair price. Ate here on both nights of our visit to Buxton and despite being a little on the busy side we didn’t have to wait long for the food to arrive. When it did it was well presented and hot. Wherever we visit we try to see if there is a Wetherspoons as we never have a problem finding a good meal without being ripped off."
