"My friend and I visited Belil for a 2 hour ‘local and sustainable food experience’ and we really loved it! The food was all delicious and Ricardo explained all of the important ingredients from the region in English with such passion and eagerness to share the culinary beauty of his country and region. We had a three course meal, which he kindly made vegan for me and my friend had several options to choose from. The food was freshly prepared to accommodate ingredients Ricardo had got from the market that morning. We felt so welcome and would definitely do it again and recommend to others!"

"Poor service, we asked for a pasta dish without vegetables and after a while the dish arrived with vegetables when we asked to replace it the waiter did not understand and the manager came and treated us disgustingly and then also did not want to listen to us and said speak Spanish and if you do not know your problem do not come here tourists"

"One of the best Italian restaurants I visited. Fresh hand made pasta, amazing aromas. Chef Alessandro is a super host super friendly makes you feel at home. Pasta with mussels, shrimps, cherry tomatoes and rum is exquisite, a must. Carpaccio de res mit arugula also a must. Brusquetta also delicious. A almond chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream was perfect for the desert. Variety of Italian wines, salads, salmon. Live music that makes the atmosphere cozy. Trattoria Italiana is a must when you visit San Cristobal de las casas."

"This cerveceria serves great home-made artisanal beers. The hosts are extremely welcoming and love to share their thoughts on their beers. On the first evening we tried the Golden Ale, which was so good we had to come back the next night. We then tried the IPA, hands down one of the best IPA's we've ever tried. The roof terrace is an awesome cosy place to drink your beer in the sun, with a mountain view and great background music. I would definitely recommend a visit if you're in San Cristóbal, and you appreciate good beer!"
