"Their curries are the best. One of the advantages of this place is all the curries are on display & one can taste the curries before placing the order. They used to make ginger chicken but not anymore. It used to be awesome. Also i haven't even seen fire chicken for a while now, it was good for the people who love spicy food. I would recommend them to put ginger chicken back in their menu. Irrespective we love takeaways from there."

"We meant to visit the Noodle Club for a Sunday lunch. Upon arrival at five minutes before the trading hour, we saw a group of people with many kids waiting outside the door. It was expected to be very noisy so we changed to this Vietnamese restaurant because nobody was dining in yet.<br/>After we perused the menu, we then settled on the orders of raw beef pho, Hanoi Spring Roll and a prawn and BBQ pork omelette.<br/>Well, beef on top of the pho was nearly well done. Spring roll was a let down. Fillings on the omelette seemed too meant. <br/>Food are eatable but not a decent experience<br/>Previous rating: Dec July"

"I have never really "got" wings. They seemed like a lot of effort for not much meat and flavour. However, I decided that I wanted to try what they were all about. Well after trying Texas Wild Wings, I now know that there is so much more to wings! It is amazing how many different flavours you can pack into a wing. <br> <br> When we arrived, the establishment is not the prettiest. It looks rather bland, both inside and out. But the service and food more than make up for the lacking aesthetics. We were greeted by very pleasant and happy staff. You instantly felt like you were welcome. There was a few tables, but it was not overly busy. They also do delivery and pick up options which would be great if you lived in the area and wanted a smorgasbord of wings. Not sure what to order, we chose to have some Monterey Jack Cheese Sticks and some wings. We ordered all the wings at the same time, to pick and choose the flavours we wanted.&nbsp; The wings come in either Bone In or... <a class="read-more" href="#">read more</a>"

"20 July 2017<br/ <br/ After planning to dine at Tobaki Korean BBQ my brother-in-law says he would prefer to dine at Taste of Penang which is 20 metres away. We sit at a vacant table and I order five dishes to try. <br/ <br/ It is quite busy tonight and it is 30 minutes before the Har Mee (Prawn Noodle) and Char Kueh Teow are served. Unlike my last meal here, the Har Mee serving is once again a 'full ' bowl of noodles. Rating: 4.5/5.0 <br/ The Char Kueh Teow serving is 30% larger than last month 's serving. And the noodles are delicious with the fragrant 'wok hei ' aroma. <br/ Rating: 5.0/5.0<br/ The Lobak tonight is the most authentic I have tasted in Brisbane. <br/ Rating: 4.5/5.0<br/ The Chicken Satay is well seasoned and is tender and flavoursome and complemented with a delicious peanut sauce. <br/ Rating: 4.5/5.0<br/ The Curry Chicken Potato Curry Puffs are well made and flavoursome. Problem is there was no chicken but heaps of potato in the filling.<br/ Rating: 3.5/5.0<br/ <br/ Overall a most satisfying $51 meal for two people. I ask Management to maintain a decent serving size if you would like to retain your regular customers. The overall rating increases from 4.0 to 4.50/5.00<br/ <br/ <br/ Mid-June 2017<br/ <br/ It 's been six months since my last visit to Taste of Penang. Today being Brisbane 's third consecutive cold wet day I wanted my Mum to get out of the house and have a walkabout. So we arrived at 12.30pm and it was obvious the rain was keeping diners away as only half the tables were occupied. <br/ <br/ Our favourites here are the Char Kueh Teow (Fried Flat Rice Noodles) and the Har Mee (Prawn Noodle Soup). Mum also likes the Otak-Otak, a Nyonya spiced steamed scrambled egg with herbs and pieces of fish. <br/ <br/ The Char Kueh Teow arrived after 10 minutes. It was good, however, the serving had reduced by 20% since my last visit. The Har Mee was next and this soup noodle only filled 70% of the bowl. Though it tasted fine I was disappointed by this small serving. Despite being still hungry I gave the Otak-Otak to my Mum to fill up. <br/ <br/ I believe these noodle dishes at Mama Malaya are of the same standard but the servings there are much larger. So for now its adios Taste of Penang until your serving size improves. My rating for this restaurant reduces from 4.5 to 4.0"

"We visited this restaurant midweek after walking up and down the restaurants outside the Plaza and deciding their menu looked like the best for that night. I ordered a wonton soup and the pancake entree as well as a soy milk drink. <br> <br> The food came out fast and there was plenty of seating at the time so there was no trouble getting a table. I loved the pancake and soy milk and the wonton soup was delicious but due to my own dislikes I didn't enjoy the actual wonton's flavour and texture."

"My Taiwanese friend brought us to this place, mentioning it's a traditional one. The venue was comfortable and clean. Staff were customer-focussed. Service was fast and efficient. We managed to order 6 dishes:<br> 1. Ma Po Tofu-the best we had ever had so far<br> 2. Stir fried Gailan-bland and a little over cooked <br> 3. Chicken Soup with bitter gourd and pineapple - the soup was tasty but would have more flavour if cooked longer until the chicken was tender and the bitter melons were softened <br> 4. Drunken chicken - nice chilli flavour with great aroma of garlic, ginger and sweet basil <br> 5. Salt and garlic fried prawns - good size prawns and perfectly cooked but not much flavour<br> 6. Taiwan style braised pork knuckle - everyone but not me loved it since I wasn't a fan of skin and fatty meat<br> <br> Gosh so much food and fun. Great companies made dinner tastier!"

"Ambience: Yashraj has a nice and subtle ambience with no overpowering themes. The resturant has a sense of warmth to where you can enjoy your meal with family and friends alike.<br> <br> Food: The range of Indian dishes available is extensive with each dish having distinct flavours. I would recommend the starters platter as it is a good value for money as you get to taste a range of different dishes. The ingredients are fresh and the curries are some of the nice flavoursome curries around Brisbane. Do try out their malai kofta and Yashraj Special Goat curry. That was something different and quite delicious. The Naan breads were not doughy at all and were freshly baked and served. <br> Overall the food was well prepared with good quality and fresh ingredients. Oh and their Mango Lassi has a good semi-thick consistency and is a very nice accompaniment with the meals. <br> <br> Service: The hostess was quick to welcome us and seat us down. Every meal was served on time and the wait staff kept tabs on us throughout the night and ensured that all our questions were answered and provided a good service."

"This has got to be the MOST authentic Malaysian restaurant outside of Malaysia! The Nasi Goreng is just to die for. Same with Char Gway Teow. One of the great thing is they are very flexible you can order both of these dishes as vegetarian. They will swap out the meat with fried tofu, and not use the fish sauce. It still taste as great and authentic as the original. It is now my go to vegetarian restaurant. Give it a try! Start with Char Gway Teow or Nasi Goreng!"

"I always go there when I have to buy something from middle eastern gastronomy and every time after shopping I have some sucuk (in Turkish it means sussage) rolls; they are very yummy and cheap. There are many other options to choose between e.g. chicken, lamb, vegetarian..."
