"The service was excellent. We were a party of 8 and had a reservation(then goodness) After we set ourselves, we noticed that there was a huge line-up to get in. Although there were only 2 waiters, our food was delivered in a timely matter and the waiter took his time to joke with us and make sure everything was good. We never felt rushed to finish and get out. Regarding the food and the price, everything was a big surprise, as the food was delicious, well presented and the drinks were fairly liberal and the costs were good within the budget of everyone since we were in a tourist zone. Have a great place to eat and have fun"

"We discovered La Chata on our way to the Choco Museo. We had time for breakfast and chose the wonderful fruit plate with yogurt and granola. They serve cinnamon coffee which is a rare find. We returned this last Sunday for dessert as we had...been to see a musical group that included lunch. Again we were so impressed with food, service and atmosphere. Enjoyed flan and horchata.. so authentic and a rare find on menus. We plan to have a full meal when we return next year. A beautiful view of the waterfront overlooking the Malecon from the 2nd floor"

"While we were in Pitillal where my husband goes to have a haircut, we were looking for a place to have a cold beer. We came along this restaurant and were very impressed with it. We decided to order food and were very pleased with the food. They serve a complementary fish shrimp soup and my husband really enjoyed it. I do not eat seafood so he also ate my soup. They also serve chips and salsa. The salsa was a bit too spicy for me. I just had french fries and there were plenty of them served. My husband had a shrimp burger and enjoyed it. They then serve either a shot of tequila or a kaluha. Just hit the spot. The beer was also very cold and it was just what we were looking for. Will visit this place again during our next visit. Very friendly staff."

"Stopped by this little spot for a late lunch and had a nice bowl of Tortilla soup. Sat at one of the little bistro tables and enjoyed the soup and the afternoon activities. The owner couldn't have been nicer and she had a good number of others you stopped and either got things to go or like me sat back and enjoyed the food and town."

"My wife, family and I have been choosing El Callejon for 12 years during the 1-2 weeks we spend in PV each year. We love having breakfast there every morning, as we stay in a nearby resort. The food is delicious. If you want something...special, just ask. It is owned and operated by family. They do their best to please. We have asked La Senora for special dinners for our family and they have gone all out to please. With advance notice, she will buy special ingredients to prepare as we request. The street side dining is laid back, quiet and good people watching."
