"We enjoy the place because it reminds us of La Hacienda from home. It's nothing like traditional Mexican food we would get in San Diego but sometimes you just want this kind with the endless chips and salsa, combo plates and melty cheese on everything. A little pricier (we spent about 15 each), so that's why we rated it less than 5 stars."

"No really, Dont Look Back. When you are walking down Cary St and you walk past this establishment, don't look back. This is a restaurant run by jerk offs who try and fail at their Mexican food. "Don't Bother. Three quarters of the times I've been here I have felt like the wait staff views me as an inconvenience to their day. Once you've ordered, you get no more service. Don't even think about asking for more chips, what do you think this is, a Mexican restaurant? And if you want to sit a few minutes and let your food settle before you leave, be prepared to be glared at from afar by your server Yeah, the food is as good as any other Mexican place, but with so many around, why let yourself be treated like dirt? Don't bother with El Toro."
