"Very rude service. We stopped for a few drinks and appetizers. All the time we were treated like an inconvenience. To begin, after sitting, no menus were dropped and the servers would only stare if you passed. After we wait a while and got menus ourselves, we were ready to order. Same as the menus, stared at, but not helped. Finally, after stopping a server, to ask if we could place a job that she stopped and pick him up. After drinks have been delivered, we asked some questions about the appetizers just to get intelligent alec answers. I understand when things are busy, but there were 4 servers, 2 bar offers, and a host for about 8 active tables inside including our own. This review would be a novel if I wrote all the details, but to save you time and summarize, very rude service, the visitor feels undesirable."

"We visit Willows beach each time we visit the Victoria area. Its a great spot for a brisk walk and the Tea Shop is a welcome break. The service is great, the views are panoramic, and the tea and light snacks/sweets are good fare. It's not exactly quaint, but it's warm and welcoming. (Oh, and the toilets are just a few steps away in the park."

"Very satisfactory experience here. Had delicious Mexican food, the atmosphere and environment is very pleasing and homely. The customer service is top notch. I got the Tacos Mexicanos for myself and it tasted amazing with the habanero house made hot sauce that was given. Very positive experience and i can’t wait to eat here again. I am rating 4 stars because the prices were fairly high for the sizes of food, other than that amazing place"

"This is the second time that I have enjoyed Three Gringos Mexican Grill and both times it has been a great experience. I’ve ordered the veggie burrito bowl with avocado and hot sauce on the side. The serving is generous and includes rice, black beans, cheese, sautéed red peppers and mushrooms, corn, tomatoes, cilantro, green onion, lettuce, sour cream, and chipotle. Next time I’ll try the fish tacos as that is also one of my favourites. The vibe is a funky Mexican café, the staff are friendly and efficient, and the prices are great value for the money. They do a lot of take out, but I always dine in. My only very minor quibble is that I appreciate it when the staff check with you a couple of minutes after they serve to see if everything is all right or if you need anything else. Even around 3:45 when I arrived, they were very busy and it kept up, despite being early for any dinner traffic. For this reason I forgive them for not checking up on me. I’d recommend them to anyone who wants great Mexican food in a relaxed atmosphere. I will be back the next time I’m in the area."

"I have had lunch at McRae's on a couple of occasions. It's a nice cosy little pub style restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The menu is varied. I have enjoyed the food and service on both occasions. I'm not big on having to pay extra to get fries with my burger."

"Phone ahead to make a reservation, they said they had availability! Friend visiting from Ottawa wanted to show her Langford newest restaurant. Attempted to order the lime chicken, waiter told us took too long to cook (45 min) so we decided against. We ordered and then waited for 35 min till our appetizer arrived. Then I had to asked for our water. We didn’t get offer the complementary chips and salsa. We ask the table if they got the chips just to make sure, they said they had.Our water arrived 45 min after we sat down. The waiter was busy cleaning the other tables when I mentioned it to him. He apologized!The food was good when I asked my family but the service is definitely lacking!Even with the higher prices I decided that this would be a great place to take my family and friend out.Won’t be returning, we spent for our meal.UPDATE: we express our concerns with the hostess and the restaurant gave us 20%off.This place did try to correct what happen to our family!Food is greatService is good when not short staff I wish it wasn’t tonight!!"

"UPDATED: Ordered a chicken burrito and it definitely was not what I was expecting, seemed like a mistake (missing chicken, instead lots of rice). It still tasted pretty good but definitely not what I was hoping for, and I was too far away to return it. Owner quickly reached out to make up for it, which is appreciated. Will give another chance."
