"Love this almost near local pub. Been coming here for years. Has become a bit of a lunchtime venue for Londoners searching for country pubs. Good for children as play area our front on green which, is not part of the pub. Well kept beers"

"Food was absolutely delicious! Haggis scotch egg was yummy, fish and chips was perfect batter was so light, crispy and very tasty! The fish was amazing. Chocolate fondant was gooey and chocolatey spot on!"

"A lovely meal cuttlefish pasta and pork chop with harissa tomatoes. Food was great, quality ingredients used well, and my pork chop was succulent and perfectly cooked. The wine list had a French bias which suited us, the owners were welcoming and charming, and service was excellent. We will definitely return here."

Received hot quarter chicken instead, they replaced with medium chicken after 5-10 mins by that time my sides are already cold and didn’t enjoy the food as much. "I visited with my mum for a late lunch on a weekday. We hadn't booked but were made to feel very welcome. The food was absolutely delicious and all the staff work hard to make you feel welcome and valued, in beautiful surroundings. The only issue was around paying for some reason the card machine wasn't working (not sure what the issue was) so I had to walk down the road to get cash out once we knew how much the bill was."
