"Amazing sandwich shop with fantastic QUALITY FOOD with a great vast menu. Muhammad (the owner and his wife) and the staff, Alice and Fatih are the best! Friendly, chatty and always very welcoming! From working all of the country present and past this is the best place in town and for many miles around. Keep it going guys and never let it end"

"Best Indian restaurant for miles. ilkeston has luck, for a small, unspectacular city in derbyshire it has a few really good Indian restaurants where you can get a good meal. but jhakhas is in a league of itself. there is a restaurant close from which for a long time a clasp of ilkeston, but each dish looks the same brown mosque and tastes identical, but with different levels of flavor. jhakhas could not be different. they can see almost all individual elements and ingredients in each plate. they all look so fresh and alive, they can say they were made to order. also the spizist dishes have punched through kindhearted aromen. the choice of dress is good, they get all their typical dishes, along with a selection of specialties and recommendations that I have found nowhere else. at my three visits it was always quite quiet, which is a great scandal, while I don't like it overwhelmingly busy, I would hate being one of the excellent places to close because its not on the main street and not enough customers. the personal was always quick to help and serve. always friendly and polite, without being overlaid. I would urge anyone who goes out for a nice curry to try to take only one chance, just once, because they will certainly go back and forth. oh, and the masala chips are one."

"Absolutely amazing. we've tried all three business now and this one hasn't failed us. the fresh of the fish and the thin light crispy teig omg so yum! I tried the cajau then plaice and they can taste clearly the different and the fresh in both. Although we came here for the monkfish, they don't have it today with some others. oysters were so small, did not whelks the big ones we expected and was a little sandy, the tarter sauce tasted a little so that we stop eating. overall it was really good, especially we tried the ones in leicester who cost the same, but it was the worse chippy ever. Therefore we appreciate this now much more after the poor lol the total bill came to £36 for lunch that was not bad. the price has certainly risen and the part slightly reduced, but I do not think about paying for the amazing taste at all! still the best by far!"

"Went for our Christmas dinner with the girls last night and the service and eating was amazing! definitely recommended, we had so much food and it was all made to home and delicious. the starters were the size of the most important courses! will come back soon!"

"Very disappointed. We ordered a bottle of Merlot we were told they didn't have a full one but had one with a bit out! obviously we declined that and chose an alternative. After we ordered we waited an hour for four meals there were only two other tables in at the time. both me and my mum chose the seafood linguini. It was awful it contained frozen fish and honestly you had to rummage through the pasta to find any. My sister had the gammon and it was dry. Only one member of staff was on very young and was doing everything. Very polite but we wouldn't recommend eating here"

"It is a great bar/restaurant with a great price menu and decent drinks. the new marston’s 61 deepthroat on tap is 3.8% and a really nice bright al. very refreshing and easy to drink. Sundays carvery is really good value and the portions are huge, with an option to pay more for extra meat. good selection of nice. very tasty and filling are a long walk. staff very friendly and friendly. good social distancing measures. came back last week, just as good!"
