"Ok, so fish and chips places are usually greasy food right? Well, not all of them. This one however, possibly the greases fish and chips we have ever been to. Hey, we even tried again, thought maybe the first time was not a normal day or whatever. Nope, yuk. Staff are great, place is clean but the food has to be the greasiest crap we have ever encountered. The fries, tasted like fish. Come on folks, clean the fried oil once in awhile or get on board with that filtering service. This could be such a great spot. Lots of easy access parking, decent seating, great staff but.... all of that means nothing if the food is garbage. Get this, too greasy to eat second piece of fish so took it home for the dog. He sniffed it then walked away, he wouldn't eat it. That says a lot dont you think? Unlikely we will ever go beck. There are so many fish and chip places that are not greasy, why would we go back?"

"Paid a visit to the Langford Tavern (Lazy Bull Bar & Bistro) a few nights back for dinner with mates. The Tavern is a real paradox. It is in a working class suburb and is pretty ordinary in terms of furnishings and fittings. It is certainly not the ‘Ritz’ but is what suits the patrons and the location. The tavern was not particularly busy but a steady stream of patrons came through as the night progressed. The meals took a long time to come out. However, when it did come we found the wait was well worth it. Two (2) of us received our fish and chips and chicken parmigiana first. The other two (2) sat and watched while we gave up waiting for them to get theirs and started eating ours while they were still hot. Their chicken wings, when they came, were freshly cooked and were plump and tasty. The staff were friendly and attentive. Best of all they were not pushy and were content to let us take our time over the meal. All in all, it was a good night and we certainly did not go away hungry"

"Four of us enjoyed a fine dinner on a fine July evening, out on the large terrace. We shared starters of fries (delicious) and calamari. Two of the group ordered the steak and scallops, one opted for the halibut and chips and I enjoyed pasta with prawns, chorizo, sundried tomatoes and more. We all agreed the meals here are fairly priced and are very tasty.The pleasure here comes from a perfect setting, the combination of visual and oral satisfaction, an enjoyable meal and the expansive golf course views. We consider Forester's our neighbourhood pub and have only been disappointed once in all our years of coming here."
