"Very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere, also very inviting. Went on a Friday evening. I believe the food selection is different on a Sunday but its a good idea to call and ask depending on what day it is, also good to check if booking is needed incase. During winter the weekly selection of food is varied so good idea to ask when calling. You can eat inside or out as plenty of space and the gardens are very well kept, the area inside to the back of the building is all glass and also a lovely area to eat in. Looking forward to going again as I recommend highly to all who haven't been yet."

"My wife and I came to lunch shortly after 1 o'clock on Friday. the place was full and, until we had secured a table, we were not allowed to order food because we had to give the cash register our table number. no help. was ready to find a table, so we had to run around until we wanted to leave some people. I then ordered fish and chips for me (one of the advertised special), only to say that they would run out. we both ordered another special chicken and mushroom war. when it arrived, this appalling trage of a cake consisted of a small pottery bowl with some chicken and mushroom pieces, covered with a sauce. above was prekariousl balance a square of puff bakery that was not somewhere near the torte until a few seconds before. how they can immagine this abonination is a cake I don't understand. I really thought these people would be better and I won't eat there again."

"Managed to get a table sitting outside by the blossom trees to enjoy a sandwich and a coffee. Reasonable prices and good service. Clean toilets which is always important . I would definitely recommend if you're local."

"We have been coming here for lunch for several years. The only time we have been disappointed was on a Sunday when they ran out of Roast Dinners. During the week it’s less crowded and they have a value menu, it’s not fine dining but well cooked and served to our taste, it is fully licensed, I cannot think of a better place for lunch within 15 miles. There is free wifi, good toilets (and disabled) and lots of parking on site. Don’t forget to register your car when you visit. Overall very good/ Excellent"

"Lovely, lovely place. Good old fashioned pub at the front then opens to a beautiful conservatory overlooking lovely gardens. The food was a wonderful surprise high end quality but not high end prices. I have never seen Yorkshire puddings in my life like that! Staff were warm and friendly and efficient not something you always get nowadays! Am booking my return trip very soon."
