"Very good food, at very good prices and very cheerful and friendly staff. My husband loved the atmosphere and the friendly chat with the locals. He had the steak pie, with homemade chips and peas. I had vegetable Lasagna with homemade chips and peas perhaps a little short on the vegetables but still of a very high standard with good flavour. The pie was crammed full with good quality steak which pleased my husband. In all a very good meal and excellent value for less than £18 and that included two mugs of coffee whilst we were waiting. An extra bonus was that Jones the Boats was just across the road from the Wellington and we could walk down to the canal with the dog. We met some interesting folk there, who were soon to be off on the boat, to the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. I was almost tempted to join them but my husband wouldn`t come but then we had the dog. All in all we had a most enjoyable time and can certainly recommend the Duke of Wellington."

"We called here for a lunch out of the blue. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. It took ages to be served at the bar for drinks although it wasn't that busy, the food took around an hour to come and some of it was wrong, we overheard one member of staff speaking rather unprofessionally to another table as they were adamant they had not made a mistake but judging by our meal being slightly wrong they probably had. Two of the meals didn't come with what they were supposed to via the menu. Two puddings came out but mine didn't for another 10-15mins or so by which point the other two had finished theirs as it was going cold. Overall we were quite disappointed and I'm not sure we will return. It's a shame as the decor was quite nice and it was overlooking some lovely views."

"We visited this place in summer and had some fantastic meals here. we decided to go Sunday dinner too and we were not disappointed! cork that melts in mouth (they use rib eye) . nice friendly staff. only negative is the garden could do with a bit tlc, but I'm sure they get this right for the next year. recommend defo!"

"In the past, we used butmorddu Chinese until the service gets bad, ordered the meals, where not what we were given and the waiting times were overdue over an hour after our collection time. We changed the tears as we spend about 40quid each week between our family. We're in Andrews, because it's pretty local. We have read good and bad reviews and thought we would try. We're back twice this month. The special cantonese is delicious and tge sweet and sour chicken. We are still experimenting with the rest when the menu, but so far we are more than happy that Andrews is a new local for retreat."

"Best cafe in the area for freshly cooked homemade meals. Great service from the friendly ladies who own and run the cafe, they always have a smile and a chat and are very welcoming to families with children, with highchairs, colouring books and crayons available. Always lovely and clean and the food is to die for. The cooked breakfasts are tasty and generous, and the homemade pies are amazing! They do lovely coffees too. A brilliant place to visit. Highly recommended."

"We have been here a few times and have always been very pleased. Th coffee is excellent as is the cake selection. We have also had Paninis for lunch and a fish and chip lunch is also available from the chip shop next door! A...nice meeting place for friends and family."

"The room was much, much smaller than expected and close to a room with a group of people, laughing and screaming, and quite drunk! Then there was the “Restaurant” experience. i ordered a burger because it came with a salad. However, there was 1 small leaf under the burger (soggy, tasteless and greasy burger). When I asked about the salad, the person who served me indicated the one leaf. It truly felt like a Monty Python movie. Not to talk about the waiting time: appointment to eat at 19.30, dinner arrived 20.40. Truly awful!"
