"We just held an afternoon baby shower for about 40 people in the beautiful glassed-in dining area of the Canal Ritz. At 9am when we showed up for decorating the room, all the tables were perfectly set and the owner was on site. During the party, service was impeccable and the food (including the pizzas) was delicious and beautifully presented. This venue with a great view is the best for lunch, dinner and parties!"

"When I was single I used to go by myself. Then I married and my wife and I enjoy it. My 2 daughters then came along and eat there from time to time. Years later my son in laws joined us for delicious desserts. Now I bring my grandchildren as well. I enjoy my espresso and my wife her fruit tarts. The rest of the family are happy evrytime we bring them. It is a family cave. Lol."

"It's great to have a bakery/coffee shop in the market with this varied a selection of baked goods and sweets. And some of them, esp the cakes, are on the level of the best European coffee houses. It's also a decent sized, centrally located place to meet people in the market. However: some of the croissants, though very decent, stay around until past when they were as fresh as they could be. Not bad, but not at the level they deserve to be in the afternoon. And it is time they upgraded the decor cafeteria style trays, the cheapest possible vinyl carpets, etc don't do justice to the selection. And we get that you're excited the US president visited you, but it's been many years, and it's time to move on...."

"I have been eating at CC for years. It is our office main place for lunch. Whether Eat-in or take out, it is always delicious and the variety of items does not allow you to get bored with the food. Soups are great, salads are great, sandwiches are too. The gentleman who used to serve at the cash was amazingly friendly, it was a pleasure togo there. When the owner changed however, I really missed not seeing him anymore....but I had one hope: the rude lady at the counter would go too, but she seems to be rooted to the place. Last time I was there she barked at me because I was chosing a salad that was not part of the special ! She has a talent for making the CC experience a real disaster, making you feel unwelcome, just wanting to EAT OUT. I hope someone will notice that and act accordingly.Today I had someone pick up lunch for us. No drop in and eat in....food was fabulous !!!"

"Just off Elgin Street on Gilmour, The Blossom Cafe is a perfect stop for vegetarians and for those like me who need a break from our meat diet. The staff is friendly and attentive without being over bearing. The cafe has a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere. The food is fresh, delicious and creative. As an added bonus, the baked goods are the best."
