"My friend and I wanted to go for a beautiful breakfast. I ordered eggs Benedict for $28 and two lattes for $14. Totally reasonable prices for such a beautiful space, but the food was beyond disappointing. I regularly go for my eggs Benedict at the Park Hyatt a block away and it’s divine and worth the $30. This tasted like something you’d get at a cheap diner. The poached eggs were somewhat rubbery, the ham off the bone was too thick instead of delicate layers of thin shaved ham, but the absolute hands down worse part was the cheap tasting flavorless hollandaise like it came right out of a can. Luckily the space is gorgeous and the server was impeccable. Don’t go for the eggs Benedict head over a block away to the Park Hyatt where your mouth will water."

"Similar to several other contributions, our experience was a dichotomy. deep teller for which we came was good, BUT service was bad, although our server was nice. worst food in many years. I said it was 40 minutes. after over an hour and to see that others who have come to us served, we have marked the server and the hostess. after 1:30 a.m. of waiting it finally came out. they had given us to an exile and had to make a new one. no manager anesthesia at any time and no one would have noticed that we were sitting for so long if we hadn't asked. pizza was only warm when we got it, so it sat already one, even after all! and this was the most recommended place for our first deep dish in chicago. Oh, we had just spent 2 days on the road, moving our daughter here and starving and exhausted."

"Really good Chicago deep dish pizza. This little outpost was the closest to the house, located in a little strip mall with plenty of parking. it is carryout only (no dine-in) as most of the pizza places around here seem to be. It was Super Bowl Sunday so figured it would be busy and possibly increasing the chance of a mistake. So ordered a medium Chicago style on-line (paid for it as well) right when it opened at 11 am, for a 2 pm pickup. Got there exactly at 2, gave my name, and they had the pizza ready for me. I had forgotten how heavy even a medium Chicago deep dish pizza could be. I got it home, and waited till the Super Bowl began. It was a just a beautiful pie. We reheated it at 350 to get it just warm enough. The chicago style has sliced mozzarella, with a sausage patty that covers the entire pizza, and sweet chunky tomato sauce on top. The best part of the pizza is the crust...always crispy crunchy even with wet toppings but never greasy or too buttery like pan pizza can get. The crust goes over the edge so you always can get some extra crust for a bite if that is what you want...or just hand it over to your partner who prefers the crust, and focus on the middle...each bite (no matter how big or small) having the perfect balanced layers of crust, cheese, sausage and sauce. I've read reviews about how Malnati's isn't as good as before, but that was not the case for me. Malnati's is the best chain restaurant to serve deep dish. The pie cost almost $30 with tax, but if you consider that it can be sliced into 8 pieces, and 2 pieces is enough for an adult...it's a good value in this day and age."

"Excellent food serving size is huge enough for 2 people or leftovers the next day. The Pasta with Meatballs is wonderful meatballs are tender and have a true Italian flavor. Remind me of what my Italian momma use to make."

"The first time that chicago's famous deep-court pizza tries. my friend and I ordered the deep dish chicago classic for two people and it was more than enough. While it doesn't look so much, it will fill you in every case. the pizza was delicious and the crust was so good. I don't think I tried pizza crust, that was so good!"
