"Never seen this in coffee shop. You can take a bag of used coffee beans for free and you can use it as a compost to your garden. Definitely a plus for this place. Warm, cosy and ancient looking place with lovely staff. It looks that they care about environment."

"We pre booked for 7pm when arrived the waiter looked at us not welcoming at all and looked as if they didn't have a table and had to ask another colleague where to seat us. We ordered drinks and starters however what I wanted were not available, would have been nice to have been told when we were seated as felt pressured to choose something else while the waiter was standing over me spouting out all the starters. Starters were ok. Then the main( mixed tandoori grill) chicken leg dry, lamb was mutton, chicken dry, one overcooked prawn which was burnt! Half a new potatoe. Oh and a gravy boat of mint sauce, forgotten nann which should have come with. Husbands said his was ok but rice cold. We were never asked if we wanted to see the desert menu or if they had one or if we wanted anything else. Think deliveroo was more of a priority as they they were going up and down the restaurant constantly! Customer service training is well needed, when left the door was opened for us but not a word of thank you bye!"

"Just been and had a luxurious chicken liver parfait for starters, succulent sea bream with creamy cauliflower puree for main and beautiful light panna cotta with apple and oat crumb for dessert. Certainly tickled my taste buds and the staff are lovely. Just what Bridgwater needs. We will be back for sure. Thank you River Parrott. Such a welcome change from our pub days in there."
