"We were seated in the beautiful garden which is covered by large trees providing shade, creating a calm and serene ambience. The waitress and owner Julia was very friendly and accommodating. She specifically asked if my parter is vegan after taking our orders, to make sure everything was going to be correct we felt very welcome and accepted! The traditional Greek food itself was exceptional. The menu is largely vegetarian and vegan, with some animal based dishes in between. Everything is well marked (v for vegetarian, vg for vegan). Let me just say that the vegan Moussaka is to die for! Nothing feels like an afterthought. The vegan dishes aren't just traditional recipes with substitutions stuck inside, but are well rounded creations filled with flavor. The meat dishes are fantastic too, so it's a great place for mixed groups of people to go to. I would have liked to give the Taverna Garden a full 5 stars, but happy cow only allows max. 4 stars for restaurants that aren't 100% vegetarian/vegan. Updated from previous review on 2023 07 30"

"The food was good, but not worth it more expensive compared to other restaurants at Abaton. Not worth the value. Service was great, not exceptional. Would recommend trying some of the other restaurants first"

"We stumbled the mones wrong and are so happy that we found it! they have a separate vegan menu with some good options. they don't have so many escaped, but the chocolate mousse was wonderful. the location is also really nice, in any case for lunch or dinner. updated by previous review on 2021-05-09"

"This has just been my first visit for 2019. I live locally so love the idea of a vegan restaurant so close. In previous years, I was sometimes disappointed by the number of vegan choices and felt the menu did not clearly state the vegan options. There has been a transformation! The vegan dishes have been made far more obvious and the number of choices astounding. Perhaps the restaurant should be reclassified as vegan with vegetarian options? The service was good, portion size fair and general presentation very good. A true family-run restaurant for all the family. Much effort has been made for the 2019 season and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you give it a try."
