"I'm afraid we've had a terrible experience here today, the place is clearly getting ready for closing down . Xmas picnic bench was substandard, cold and meagre portions,had to wait along time. The place was cold. They didn't take cards, only cash and told me to go to theCash point across the road! Staff were rude and accused me of wanting free food! We transferred money to an account in the end (not full amount) think police should investigate the place. What should have been an enjoyable afternoon was traumatic."

"I am reviewing the room and the breakfast here and the pub food in a separate review. Right from the minute I rang to make a reservation, I was amazed by the professionalism and willingness to help of Elle, the bar manager. She went above and beyond to help, even asking about the age of our child to make sure she could give us the most suitable room and bed. She greeted us like friends when we arrived and showed us to the room personally, explaining everything. She then made sure to come and chat with us later to check everything was Ok. The room itself was lovely and perfect for a little family. The bed was one of the comfiest I have ever slept in. It was spotless and tastefully decorated and had everything needed to be cosy and make us feel at home for the night, even a mini breakfast bar to eat or work at. The bathroom was lovely and shower was great. It was very quite, even though the pub was underneath us. The breakfast was fantastic. Amazing coffee (often lacking in hotels) and freshly cooked tasty food that made the price of the room (which was decent without the fab breakfast) even better value. We chatted with the lovely breakfast staff and one of the owners, who made it clear that his guests really matter to him. We actually couldn't believe how good this place was. Not only would I stay there again, I will be actively looking for an excuse to."

"Not for years remember to go with gran, think it for the people! Today I had a shock when I went there big selection of dingen, from gifts birthday cards packing paper designer clothing (superdry, joule, barbour) parfums creams nightwear home products for the kitchen etc.. I was shocked at the selection they have. a visit worth when she tried in halifax. the caffe this eas also really good the hot chocolate was really nice and the food sizes were really good portions. friendly coworkers in caffe who were willing to help and tweek the order to our satisfaction. saw a good selection of cakes amuse, but after eating the delicious truthahn sandwich (the had a lot of truthahn) and chips I could not eat much more. they also had a beautiful Christmas display that my 5 year old niece really enjoyed seeing it."

"I was in 3 times after I saw bad reviews to try for myself. it was unusually welcoming that the mood lighting and the nostalgic feeling left me that I wanted to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. we were met with a friendly face and familiar accents my hometown bristol, which was fantastic! karen is friendly and the other employees were always friendly, efficient and helpful. After I was brought to halifax from Leeds office and nobody knows, I can honestly say that I will use the loom lounge for the time I am here for coffee, lunch and atmosphere!"
