"Starter meals were fine however the main meal was a let down for my wife. I had the pie of the day which was good with mash and was hot on December 22nd my wife the hot beef brisket sandwich and because it was good decided to have it again yesterday it was completely different the whole meal was cold chips sandwich and even the small pot of gravy were cold she saw no point in sending it back or telling the waitress as we had waited a long time to get our main meals as service was quite slow. All in all a disappointing experience."

"You did our day! friendly employees found us a table, although it was busy and we had no booking. the service was fast and all the employees we talked with were absolutely beautiful. eating was really good, some of the best pub dishes we had. they can say they also take care of the youngest guests: the children's menu is seriously good eating and beautifully presented, which is rare (the photos show what our small child had, yummy! . big desert and also very good coffee at the end. "Excellent service from Francisco soon as we entered felt very very welcome, ordered on the app nice and easy, food was so fresh and juicy definitely one off the better Nando's we have been to, the lad who took over the upstairs at 5pm so lovely and checked on us, Excellent experience!"

"Do they taste the food?! What a shame. Lovely night out because of the company. The serving staff were friendly and pretty attentive, but the food was not good. My friend and I ordered muscles as a main. The muscles themselves were cleaned and cooked well, and they were nice big muscles. But the whole dish completely lacked flavour. There was hardly any sauce, and what was there appeared to be simply made of unsalted butter and water with some boiled onions thrown in. It was very odd! The muscles were nearly £20 and it was an eye watering £5 for a side of chips. Because dinner was so disappointing (for most one friend enjoyed a nice meal), we opted to finish the meal on high other dessert. I had gyspy tart. The tart itself was yummy, but again, the ice cream completely lacked flavour. It was like they hadn't tasted it. It was so strange. For a place with a typical price point of £30 for a maim course, I'd expect a lot better. I won't be returning. At a final bill of £60 per head (with alcohol), it was vastly overpriced and completely disappointing. Service: 5"

"Worked all over Kent for years, but only came across the Redstart 2 weeks ago. Dined lunchtime on a Thursday with 4 friends. All agreed that the various choices of meals were superb. Served by a very efficient female European bar person who was readily available when required. In all, a very pleasant dining experience, we will return."
