"This wonderful young baker has created our high-time cake a year ago. her aromen are great! Our sample box was adorable and gave us the opportunity to really taste her creations. I had an idea and gave her free herring over everything else. it is amazing what they get when they let creative people make their job! they made my cake dreams come true!"

"What a vibe! The place is amazing. I never knew coffee and bikes mixed so well together. Makes me want to buy a bike and go ride out on the trails. The baristas were great, and very very personable. Got my latte quick, which was a nice was a decent light flavour. Sandwich took a bit longer, but it was worth the wait. Tuna and Gouda? Amazing. So glad I went. I’ll be back!"

"A lovely visit on a beautiful summer day. The waterfront location was choice and the food was delicious, though the service was somewhat lacking. (A young, buxom blonde was very welcoming and had good banter [also was very attentive to the presents left on the chairs by our bird companions and made sure to tidy up before we had a chance to sit; very professional demeanor], while another lithe blonde with a ponytail was inattentive and seemed uninterested. Ordered a bottle of sav from a friendly brunette- ordering was great as the server was bubbly and helpful, but no bottle service or top ups. Toss up, really. We ordered the seafood chowder,a Caesar salad, and a garlic and herb pizza. Everything exceeded our expectations for a very touristy part of Picton (the chowder was top notch and the garlic bread that came with it was SUPERB , and the prices were reasonable for such a prime location in a small port town, despite being one of the more expensive restaurants in the area. We enjoyed a lovely Valentine's Day lunch on the patio and wouldn't hesitate to return (if only to get more of that chowder and garlic bread! Thanks again!"

"Breakfast was the only meal I had there and it was terrific. Real grilled potatoes, eggs cooked perfectly, extra long breakfast sausage and toast for under $10. More food than I could eat. Staff were terrific efficient, friendly, happy. I think they could have used another server, but I know it is hard to get staff right now, and the hostess and (I assume) a manager were pitching in to help. Lots of locals were there too. This will be my go to place for breakfast when in Picton, and I definitely would try it for other meal times also."

"Based on reviews I had read, I was expecting to find a "hidden gem". I did not. The food was OK, but for $ 17 for a sandwich and soup or salad combo I expected better. The ham and bean soup tasted like vegetable broth with the beans and ham added at the end of cooking. Not much flavour at all. The sandwiches were OK, not great, not terrible. There are better choices in the area."

"We had booked for a romantic getaway and had a premium suite. The room certainly was premium. We had a crazy huge bathroom with a big soaker tub. I do wonder why in such a huge bathroom they put such a small shower but the tub made up for it. We had a separate living room and bedroom with a double patio door in each that walked out onto our private patio with our own 2 person hot tub. Absolutely lovely! And it was really nice to have bathrobes included. There was evidence that some tender loving care was required; some mildew by shower fan and the outdoor wood framing around patio doors needs sanding and repainting but over all very lovely. We never were able to use the TV or the phones in the room. We ended up just using our cellphones to call reception; we had no coffee creamer left for us. It was nice having glass wine glasses and actual coffee mugs, really liked that. They also had a wine bottle opener which was handy since we forgot to bring one. I would suggest you make sure you have all your coffee supplies on arrival as they don't replenish because of Covid and it wasn't nice discovering there was no coffee creamer at 6:30 am. I would also ask how to use the TV at check in, we never did firgure it out. Not terrible because we had the hot tub, soaker tub, and games but one night we were hoping to watch movie in bed and felt it was too late to call reception, only security there at that time. The sitdown full service breakfast was also lovely but be prepared for more of a diner experience. Staff was fun but certainly not fine dining type of thing. They would dress the table as you stood there, drinks came sometimes at breakfast, sometimes separately, one time I got juice while my husband had none. It was kind of comical really. Coffee and breakfast were cold mostly and eggs over done but at the same time we enjoyed the experience of full service and antics. You could see some people were expecting a much more high end service. We actually had lots of laughs and overall enjoyed it. Dinner was much more professional, food was sensational. It was also nice to walk to town. The first night we walked to Black Prince Winery and had a lovely bottle of wine and fire baked pizza on the vine covered patio. All in all, every space was unique and charming and glad we booked here."
