"The food was great. The service was terrible, it was a slow night maybe 15 tables of small groups 2-4. The server kept forgetting about everything after 2,3 reminders on our drinks, refills and dessert. She blamed the kitchen yet I could tell it was her fault. I felt that was unnecessary to say that.. just apologize and go get my beverage and I wouldn't think anything of it."

"I had seen a "best of" weekly restaurant reviews in the local e-news paper and this place had been in the top 5. My wife and I had decided to give it a shot. Arrived just after 6pm and there were a few having meals and 2 guys in line ahead of us. Waited to put in our order. The decor inside was good. You could sample the soups before ordering. Ordered Mushroom Bisque bowl and 1/2 Turkey Club Sandwich and a Broccoli Cheese soup bowl and a second 1/2 Turkey Club Sandwich. Got to the register and bill came to $38. Was told to have a seat and would be called up to get it. About 10 mins later, called up and got the meals. My wife had an Iced Tea that was basically just syrup. We both tried the soup and thought it was good. Opened up our sandwiches and we were really disappointed. A little ham, 2 strips of bacon, some tomato and mayo. Was suppose to be toasted, but really didn't feel it had been toasted properly. Went to use the washroom after the meal and in the men's washroom, it appeared as though there was dried blood on the sink. Overall the experience was just average. Felt the meal was really overpriced. Really just a Tim Hortons sandwich with good soup. Save your money and just go to Tim's."

"Orchard Restaurant is the 'go to' place for the most picky breakfast aficionado 's. The food is always served hot and fresh. The portions are always larger than other fruits, and the place is always packed! A good part of the lasting 50-year success of Orchard comes from the fact that Angelo, the owner, treats all like them are guests in his house, and the waiting staff, is so fantastic friendly! "I have been eating at this place for the past 4-5 years since moving to the neighbourhood. Pre-pandemic, I was eating fish chips pretty much every 2 weeks. On average, about 20+ visits a year. But I haven't been back in more than a year now, for 2 reasons: 1. They batter their fish too thick these days (perhaps to make it look like a bigger piece than it really is). More importantly, they no longer fry their fries with the order. The last 2 times I was there, the fries were re-fried, dark and oily. 2. The lady who handles the food refuses to mask up, even at the height of Covid last year (2021). Unforgivable, when all their customers go in masked! The hygiene was woefully lacking, and for a food business, this is not acceptable."
