"Great location, and beautifully decorated room inside. However, the service was really slow. We sat on a coffee for 30 minutes before we ordered our lunch. And even then the waiters never really came by. I actually asked if it was bar service, as I thought it had to have been. It's a shame, because the people who worked there were super friendly, they just seemed massively underoccupied or undertrained. tasting though"

"We hosted our work Christmas celebration at the alexander hay in februar 2022 and my feedback is nothing but positiw. the venue was so courteous, especially around us, who had to be redesigned due to Covid restrictions. we had a buffet for eating including dessert and the whole food was delicious, something for everyone. adam was our contact at the venue and he was brilliant, always friendly, helpful and on the hand to answer questions. the rest of the bar staff in the night was also very friendly and quick to use. I would recommend the alexander hay after working for all work parties or drinks, it is a really nice place. the dj was also great! many thanks for everything that helps us to go seamlessly."

"Balls brothers has been close to us since 1860 and now has a chain of places in whole london they take seriously drinks here; there are various picture card guides, for cocktails recommended according to not desired. be it gin, whisky, wein. my net impressed me; boiled so delicately juicy brat pork, and melted in my mouth after the deep apfel apple apfel apfel sauce. sautéed scallops tasted so fresh and the maic was perfection, cooked with a buttery taste with a thick smooth texture."

"Not cheap, but actually very pleasant food. I was not disappointed by my £16 haddock and chips, which is saying something. Fresh, well cooked, with delicious chips and a decent portion. Slightly spartan inside, probably too big for the number of customers they get. I'd go back, when I'm feeling well-off!"

"The atmosphere was nice and cosy, but because we was sat by the back so we didn’t get a lot of attention from the waiters so we had to wave a lot for ages until someone noticed us. Or sometimes we had to get up from our seats and find someone to serve us. We opted for the Sunday roast, it was lovely but the Yorkshire puddings was hard as rocks so we need more gravy to soften it. But we couldn’t get the waiters to notice us to let them know for more gravy. I would go again because it was so close to the station and the atmosphere was very nice."
