"Service was substandard except one asian guy who was carrying the weight of the shop by himself.The owner/FOH busy mingling with one of their own guests totally disregarding the fact that people coming in are waiting to br seated.Empty food trays does not usually equal customers going home without food but the restaurant eventually being empty of customers. Being in the same industry myself, I can confidently say everytime one of my staff makes a mistake that is overcomed by the examplry service that we take pride in.The food itself is very average. From overcooked Goat to burnt coconut rice to overcooked chicken tandoori. The shining star for me was the mushroom Dish.And this is very important for the owners that you need to get your washroom stall fixed in the men's. If I can look inside the stall while some one is taking a dump it means that the gap is too wide.We came in excepting a lot owing to your stellar google rating from over 1000 reviews."

"For a neighbourhood restaurant tucked away on 50th street in Jackson Heights, Rasoi turned out to be a very welcome surprise with some great food. We dropped in unannounced on a Friday evening and didn 't need a reservation as the place was not too busy. We had a choice of eating indoors or on a cosy outdoor patio we chose indoors. The service was excellent prompt and personable. Our food choices included mainly some vegetarian dishes okra, cauliflower, rice, chickpeas with a dish of chicken tikka masala along with some Naan bread. Needless to say, two people could not finish the delicious meal and so we walked out with leftovers. The food was seasoned to suit a somewhat adventurous western palate. It was certainly nothing too 'hot or spicy so if that is your preference, I would suggest asking to up the spice factor to suit your palate. It is very enjoyable and as we have ordered take out from here and always been pleased, we may decide to drop in a bit more on an impromptu basis. The decor is really not much to write about so go to enjoy the great company of friends and family."

"Haweli one of the oldest Restaurants serving Indian cuisine in Edmonton. It has all Indian traditional decor with perfect yellow light and pleasant ambience. . . Things we ordered: Paneer Pakora Mango and Salted Lassi Dal Bukhara Kadai Paneer Variety of Naans onion, garlic, plain) . . I would have happily rated it with 5* but paneer pakora were definitely a no no. Also, the Lassis which is supposed to be thick was extremely watery). . . But the main course did the magic it was the best Indian taste I have ever tried in town. The onion naan was very delicious it was in the form of stuffed kulcha. . . P.S: We opted for the menu but they do serve buffet and they have happy hours 3-6 from 9 to close."

"Accused of ordering from telephone and not picking up order when I came in so they were extremely slow. Always slow because there is usually only one server doing a few things at once and I don't appreciate being accused of something I didn't do."
