"We are always looking for a good one to come along. We've tried numerous places but always cane away disappointed. Either the fries were frozen or the batter wasn't cooked well.A friend recommended Captains so we tried it. Our server was friendly and helpful. I am very sensitive to canola oil and asked to taste the breading. She agreed and we sat down. We ordered the one serving Haddock with fries and coleslaw. Our order arrived quickly. The fries were fresh cut and crunchy, not greasy. The coleslaw was creamy and fantastic. The fish was well cooked, the batter crunchy and flavourful. We were thrilled. Finally a really good fish n' chips place to suit our picky taste buds!!Definitely will return and try something new!!"

"I was enjoying my experience until I found 5 pieces of bad lettuce in my hollywood wrap, one of them brown and slimy. When I told server, Kaylah, she thanked me and said she would tell kitchen. I then watched her walk to buspan, empty plate and go about her business without showing or telling kitchen. There was no offer of anything else, no discount on bill and we also did not get our scratch ticket when we received the bill.I also ordered decaf coffee and she said it would be a few minutes as she was going to put a fresh pot on. I then watched her walk back and just poor from the older pot.I have been in the restaurant business for almost 37 years and know that franchises coach their people what to say to appease a customer but action should have been taken as well.As a result, now my husband never wants to go back there which is disappointing to me as I always like to give restaurants 3 chances before I call it quits on them."
