"This quirky and friendly little Fitzroy bar is full of charm and THE place to go for local Australian spirits served by knowledgeable, friendly and passionate staff. I am a gin fan and I loved the Loch and the Hobart 4 gins. The staff took the time to give me a run down of the history of Australian gin making and details on each of the gins on offer. in the past I've sampled their food. The only thing on the food menu is jaffles, but that's all you need if you do it well, and they do. I sweet little place that I will be returning too."

I usually come here for their gourmet salads and the variety of Phillipa’s items on offer, however, given that it was 8am I wasn’t really in the mood for something heavy. The vibrant cafe boasts a friendly brigade of waiters is located just a step away from the ever-full Corkman’s Irish Bar. Not much to say other than the fact that the coffee here is reliable the sandwiches are definitely some of the better ones around the area. "Had a celebratory dinner at Dalmatino yesterday. I must say the food exceeded our expectation. Caterina and Liz have created an amazing atmosphere at the restaurant, perfect for a special dinner. "Arrived early on a Sunday to get a table- wise decision! Service was prompt however we were asked multiple tables me by multiple waiters various questions, communication between the service staff need to be improved. The food was beautiful. Quick, fresh and great size meals....Beautiful, everyone was thrilled and couldn’t fault their meals. We had the French toast dish, sautéed mushrooms dish, special breakfast dish and scrambled eggs with bacon. We did get told to move on from the table, which is understandable on a weekend but disappointing when you are catching up with friends. Just little things to note but would definitely return."

"The base of the red velvet $9) is stunning, managing to be delicate and soft yet dense and richly flavoured. It really is unlike any other cake I’ve tried. The vanilla buttercream is silky and light but I would have preferred even a little tang of cream cheese as I found the cake to become a bit monotonous without it. Still one of the best cakes I've ever eaten though.<br/ <br/ The smoky choc chip cookie $3) was nice but just alright. The smoky flavour was subtle.<br/ <br/ Very keen to return and try everything else."
