"The Jalapeno Cornbread smelled lovely and was not at all spicy as I thought it might be. The cornbread was buttery, dense and had a lot of whole corns in it. This small little loaf was about $6 but I can guarantee you one slice is filling enough."

"How this place has 4+ stars is completely beyond me. I sincerely hope the poor quality of the order we got was just one-off and happens extremely rarely. I ordered Temaki (cone), sashimi, and some nigiris. The quality of tuna sashimi is probably the lowest you can expect other budget sushi places, although I felt like even sushi garden had better quality tuna. Toro was just no good as it wasn't even close to what they offer even at other Korean budget sushi places like sushi garden/town. What astonished me the most is the quality of rice which is why I gave it 1 star. It's basically either half cooked or had been in the fridge for too long. It's unacceptable even by the lowest standard. Also, the size of the cones is just too small. I hope restaurants stop with the shrinkflation bs to fish you with the price but offer smaller portion. Just raise the price, and offer standard portion. I rarely give this harsh of a review but having eaten at so many sushi places in the Lower Mainland, this one was really surprised me in a bad way."

"Coziest coffee house on davie? Perhaps... I love the all day breakfast menu, vancouver needs more! I had the breakfast croissant, it had a layer of black forrest ham, topped with 2 scrambled eggs some tomatoes and a ridiculous amount of cheddar cheese. It came with a side of hot sauce which was nice, and for 6.25 you cant complain. The coffee here is pretty good too. Well done coffee house, well done."

"My Aunt bought a cake from Bon Ton she had told me, I said to her Bon Ton? are you even speaking English? Up until yesterday, I had no idea what Bon Ton was but that napoleon cake that I ate was amazing!<br/ <br/ True confections napoleon got nothing on Bon Ton. The napoleon is their most famous cake. My aunt told me this is the most famous cake shop as well. Maybe while she was growing up, as I had never heard of this place as I had mentioned. The HNY writing on the cake could have been nicer, that 'H ' is wack."

"Good desserts, so so bread. Stuart's makes some great individual desserts. When my wife and I are on Granville Island buying items to make a fancy dinner, we also like to pop over to Stuart's for a couple of their New York style cheesecakes. We don't make whole cheesecakes at home any more because we don't need the calories, but Stuart's single serve is just right. Suitably dense, good flavour on the chocolate variety. I had a caramel topped chocolate mousse last night that had more than a centimeter of dulce de leche layered on it not that there's anything wrong with that! (As long as I only eat one... <br/ <br/ OTOH, I bought a loaf of Stuart's levain bread one time that had good texture, but almost no taste. Boring. <br/ <br/ I didn't know this place had a connection to Max's Deli on Oak and 15th until I wrote this review, but now I can see the connection. I find both places to be stronger with their sweets than their savouries."

"Walking into the Wilder Snail you are greeted by a large wooden bar, some great red cupboards and large red globe lights that Erica wanted to make special mention of. The name is a humorous poke at unusual British pub names."

"The carrot cake might be the best thing I've ever had. Had other desserts all were moist and delicious but weren't as awesome as that carrot cake!"

"True Confection or True Disconnection? As I recalled from memory lane, this used to be bumping and the place to be for good desserts and drinks, both locations were packed and lineups. Honestly, I even had one of my businesses sell some of the desserts back in the days. What happened?!?Fast forward it to nowadays, the service at the West Broadway location was horrible and the Denman location, extremely slow and barely passable when there was only 3 tables of customers. Plus some drinks were out or too late to make it when it’s an hour before closing??Anyways, here were the food that I was able to order;1. Mixed berry cheesecake. It was okay, I remember it was better? And a bit bigger with the portion or am I wrong?2. Chocolate caramel pecan pie. A little bit doughy on the under crust.3. Orange soda. All the other drinks weren’t available besides a soda, tea or water.Overall, I visited both locations and the services just weren’t like before. The atmosphere was similar to wandering around an abandoned mall and the food just not it when compared to similar bakeries nearby.I guess just like many thriving businesses, got too comfortable with its success and didn’t put in the effort to catch-up with time until it’s too late.It really saddens me for a second when I see such thriving businesses from before became nothing but just an afterthought, a True Disconnection from its glory days."
