"I came here with a friend after visiting the beach in Cobourg.We have been trying different local restaurants and pubs in the area each time we come.We opted to visit Frank's Pasta and Grill based on a quick glance of reviews when Googling the restaurant.Upon arrival, my friend had to answer a phone call so he stood outside the restaurant. The waitress came over and asked if I was ready to order. I said I would wait for my friend to return. When he joined me at the table, within seconds, she asked (again) if we were ready to order. My friend hadn't even had a chance to open the menu.We decided on the spaghetti and meatballs based on a review we read on this website - it also comes with side soup. I asked the waitress if there was cheese on the pasta. She said there was not. I went on to tell her it wasn't a preference, it was an intolerance. She assured me there was no cheese and it only came on the side if you asked.Great.The soup came with two pieces of garlic toast (with garlic butter, which I avoided). We drank our soup, but I left the two pieces of toast on the plate and set it aside. When the waitress came over, she asked me if I wanted the bread. I said I did not. She asked if I was sure and I said I was positive. She looked at me and said, "I'll leave it here just in case."Confused, I ignored it and left the used plate beside me.The pasta eventually came out. And on the pasta there was cheese. Of course... That given, I didn't want to make a big deal about it. So I ate it anyway.The sauce for the pasta was very, very bland. It had very little flavor and was incredibly watery. The meatballs were also not impressive as they were soft and tasted burnt.The waitress did not come back out and we had to go inside to get our bill.Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've had.I would not recommend it."
