"I have eaten here twice and both times the food was good. The first time I visited I had the coral trout, which is a really beautiful dish and well, well above pub quality food. The second time I dined here I tried the beef pie special but didn't like it as much as the fish - this is a personal choice though and nothing to do with the kitchen. The menu is nice with good choice and the rosemary fries (chips) are fantastic. Great beer list and the staff are all super friendly. I love it that they allow you to split the bill here on payment when dining as a group of friends - this type of service is generally fairly lacking in Brisbane. Unless you are some uptight foodie expecting Heston Bluemental, then I think it would be difficult to be disappointed here. Far superior to any other pub dining experience in the city."

"A discount voucher on Scoopon- $60 for two (one shared plate, two net and two drinks) Overall, it is very good for what we pay! Pros: The food was delicious and full of taste! Wine was also delicious! The bistro was busy and it has a good atmosphere for a Friday dinner. The staff was also friendly. Cons: split plate came fast, but we waited for a long time for our net. Waiters completely forget that we ordered the wine, but was quick to fix the problem. We have a bad / sunken table in the middle table. We tipped our glasses a few times. The mains were about 30-$40 (normal price). I think it's a little pricy for an average / small portion size main. If you could get online offers, otherwise I will not pay the same to return."

"We received a warm friendly greeting when we arrivd at this restaurant. It reminded us of a bistro in a quiet part of France. The food was traditional and delicious. Rabbit friccasse with rissotto with a Yarra Valley Pinor noir was a good choice. ginger creme brulee was a treat from the past. The staff were excellent, the whole evening memorable. Thank you very much."

"Early August for lunch with a group of friends who are both noisy and demanding and everyone enjoyed the food, wines and service. Favourites were the veal and sand crab and the coffee based cocktail. The view across the river to the Story Bridge was sensational and we were assured that if the weather became inclement we would be moved inside. After lunch there is a bar open where you can cosy up in a transparent igloo!"

"Wow! What a fun night full of delicious food from start to finish. I was meeting my family there and had some trouble finding the place. The head chef and owner came out of the restaurant to find me!! He then brought me back to his beautiful restaurant and the moment I sat down, the laughs began. He is extremely hospitable and made us all laugh the whole night. Such an amazing view and the food!!! So good and so well priced. Perfect for a date or family and friends. Thanks for the amazing night La Vue!!"
