"Me and my husband visited the midnight haunt for his birthday last night for the first time together. He used to go there when he was a child with his mum, he’s now 37 and when he tasted the chicken satay he knew that the recipe hadn’t changed in about 20 years because it tasted so good. When we asked the manager she confirmed that her mum has always cooked the recipes herself in the kitchen from them opening over 20 years ago. The food was spectacular, the service was amazing as the staff were so friendly and chatty! We will definitely be back very soon! Thank you everyone at the midnight haunt!"

"Surprisingly, having visited three or four times, it seems to get worse every time. My initial visit was with the full family on a Sunday, I thought it was potentially just the fact the staff were young and hadn’t been trained to any standard. Having worked in restaurants for a long time there are few things that really grind my gears. One is staff avoiding customers and doing no work. A second is staffs drinking in public view and a third is staff using a glass as an ice scoop, especially one they had just drank from. The coffee was weak, the food was bland and the staff looked lost. My next visit was with my daughter, she is 2, no help from the staff to carry or even offer to carry anything, was directed to the high chairs (with a 2 year old in my arms) and was told if it gets busy I’d be asked to move….it was 9am and we were the only 2 people in the restaurant. My, what will be my final visit is today, I’m actually sat here on the restaurant right. Same issues about food, this time my omelette was boarder line burnt. I am all for supporting local businesses, but I am afraid this will be my last visit. Massively disappointing."
