"The depth of flavor in the soup is lacking, tastes are just like a average chain store in Taiwan. The smoky flavors of the thin sliced beef is a plus but that's it. Noodles a chewy and has body. I think the championship award puts too much expectation. You won't get blown away. Come on Taiwan a champion is better than this!"

"I wanted to check this restaurant for a while. Cleaning here is terrible. Very bad staff and service, as well as quite respectless to their customers. Had to wait an absurdly long time to get a drink of water. Talk about the staff! Made...we're waiting for OUTSIDE for almost 40 minutes because they told us they had to wipe the table. It was freezing outside too. I was like no problem? But how in the world does it take 40 minutes to delete a table? Unbelievable! There were no customers waiting to sit. Maybe 3 servers didn't stand there! Our group has discussed whether we go to another restaurant or not, but somehow we stayed and waited for another 15 minutes. Anyway, we finally got in. Eating was ok enjoyed the pancakes. Yes, Kaltburger. We asked if they could reheat it, but they refused. Said they couldn't do it because it was already served and that we already took a bite. The restroom was terrible. I'm not sure it was checked the day we came, but it was disgusting. I'm not coming back soon."

"We went to this place 2 times in 24 hours so we could try different things. The first time was about 4 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. This was a good time to come ahead of the dinner crowd. The place was not empty even then, but the service is better than if you show up when they are busy (which we did the next day). The xiao long bao is very good and worth going there for, as we went back for more the next day. Sunday lunch is dim sum time and it gets very crowded. If you don't want to wait, beat the crowd or make reservations. The dining area layout is tight, so expect to be close to other diners. And, as with many Asian restaurants, don't expect much from the service and you won't be disappointed. The food is pretty authentic and every thing we had was good. Maybe we hit Shanghai River on an off day a few months earlier, but this place is my choice. The rating is for the food. Being better than an average Asian restaurant on service would warrant an excellent rating."

"Went there for lunch. Ordered a noodle dish and 2 other items. Midway through, my friend was getting more noodles from the plate. There was a big black fly in it. Called the server, pointed at the fly. Server asked if we were still eating it. We said no. He took it away. Did not give us a new dish. Ended up charging us 50% for that dish and full price on the others. Stay away. Much better places around there."

"Had an I Hop breakfast included with our accommodation at Accent Inn Richmond. The orange juice, eggs, French toast & pancakes were tasty but the sausages had an unpleasant taste and the bacon was all dried up, way too salty & was like eating a crunchy chip. The waitresses were very lovely, professional & efficient."
