"Have not had this level of poor service in a long time! Orders came out haphazardly, orders were incorrect, water for tea was only tepid. The waiters were unsure of what items were vegan friendly. One person in our party ordered waffles and fruit toppings. He waffles eventually arrived and the waiter promised to be right back with the fruit topping. To the point where the rest of the party finished eating, the fruit still did not arrive! Sausages were delivered where bacon was ordered. One order for tea was forgotten. The first order arrived some 35 minutes after being placed. We we rushing to the airport and had to abandon the waffles and fruit so the person had to have the order removed from the bill and leave without food! Hard to get a he attention of a waiter as everyone working there buzzing about in confusion."

"Haven't been to the Salisbury House for years and wasn't expecting very much after being away so long. Miracle of miracles, our visit was exceptional and, I believe, much better than my best memories of a Winnipeg favorite. Clean with super friendly, professional staff, and excellent food made our visit exceptional. I can't believe that I have missed visiting for so long and I am disappointed in my expectation level but super happy that I'm back and Salisbury House is at the top of their game. Our server was dynamic, attentive, and very friendly while keeping us topped up with excellent coffee. Breakfast at Salisbury House has become my new standard of measurement and I pity the competition being compared to this gem."

"Amazing as always. Friendly staff, reasonably quick service considering a table of eight, plenty of refills on your coffee. Great value normally, especially so with the mailer/online coupons offered. Perfect 'diner food ' experience, founded locally, owned and operated locally. Child friendly too!"

"When I think of chinese food, I always go back to Foon Hai. Every other chinese restaurant seems to be the fast food type, heavy on breading and all the dishes taste the same. I find Foon Hai has more variety and less breading, if any at all. It has been at least six months since my last visit and I did find the chicken breasts were thinner than normal as if they pounded them down to get more out of it. Its a shame since I always thought their quality was one of their strong points. Maybe an off night. I hope my next visit will be better. I still love the taste of their food."

"The food here was tasty, but unless I missed out on an entire menu, everything was just deep-fried appetizers. Tasty, sure. But you need more than that for a decent lunch."

Just ordered for the first time...delivery was quick with a very polite driver.<br/>The food was fresh and hot off the press!<br/>Very generous portions!<br/>We ordered...<br/>Dry breaded pork... the coating was crisp, meat tasty.<br/>Sweet and sour chicken balls...coating crisp, tender white meat inside, sweet and sour sauce was good.<br/>Shrimp in black bean sauce....large nicely done shrimp not soggy or rubbery, the vegetables crisp, sauce delicious with whole black beans.<br/>Cantonese chow mein...very good<br/>Price average between $9 and $10 a dish.<br/>Free delivery over $30<br/>Free chicken fried rice or 3 cans of soft drinks over $34<br/>Free fortune cookies<br/>I have found my new Chinese Food place!<br/>Big thumbs up!!"
