"I saw it a few times. We chose a drink and try a bite. The place is cool enough, but very open and comes as something subduing. The bar is cool, so we sat there. Pretty sure the bartender has forgotten to put in our food order, so we had a long wait. It was a good taste (very good), when we finally got it. The papers were so delicate, maybe it was rushed when we reminded them that we also had a food order. Also, at $17 for the brisket sauces and with two drinks while we waited, the bill was steep for the experience."

"The duck confit special was incredible. Our server Mark was phenomenal. And Yannick always makes the dining experience truly wonderful. Avenue is the best restaurant in metro-west. I love the way Josh balances the flavors of the dishes he creates and invites the diner to embark on a culinary adventure with him. Fantastic night out. Thank you Avenue!"

"If you eat or drink here, just know they profile customers. I have been to the restaurant multiple times, every time on business, usually dressed well or in a suit, and never had any issues. Yesterday I wanted to take a few members of my local team who are all legal but young for drinks. They all arrived before me and the bar was filled with two empty reserved bar tables, and the restaurant barely had any tables filled <90% at 5 pm. They wouldn?t sit my colleagues at a regular table since we had no plans to eat a meal , and they didn?t assist them getting seats at the bar, even at the two empty reserved tables with guest that wouldn?t arrive for another 30-45 mins. I was ok with all of this even thought I didn?t understand why they didn?t allow us to use a regular dining table to accommodate the overflow . We were only having each one cocktail and wouldn?t have been there very long. About 15 mins into our arrival 4 middle aged white ladies arrived without a reservation for a drink. The two hostess worked with them to have people currently sitting at the bar to move down to accommodate them at the bar. Even though I had made several request to be seated elsewhere, or utilize a reserved bar tables until the parties arrived, they were just flat out unaccommodating and one lady was just rude. The story was completely different when someone walked in who looked differently than us. I left my 80% tip and left because it wasn?t the bartenders fault, but just know you?re being judged and classified at this establishment."

"Everything was terrible⦠From my $12 water-down cocktail, followed by the cold congealed poutine appetizer. The steak entrées came out lukewarm my $29 salmon dish was less than 3 ounces and cut in a âsquareâ shape. I booked this to celebrate a birthday and was extremely disappointed! Even the desert was horrible, the cast-iron skillet cookie consisted of some burnt almost raw brown dough, drowning in caramel syrupâ not edible. Not to mention the fact that the waiter never came back to ask how our meals were, didnât clear the dirty dishes from our table, nor asked to refresh the drinks⦠Not that I would pay another $12 for what tasted like water down lemonade. They also have the nerve to charge an administrative fee and the prices on the menu are different than the price you were charged on the bill. With so many wonderful restaurants you certainly donât want to try this one!"
