"My Sydney mates tell me that Chat Thai is very westernised but I loved the food. I had heard about the enormous queues late at night at the flagship restaurant but I wasn't up for that. I quick late lunch in the CBD at Westfield seemed like a good compromise. At that time of the day the lunchtime rush is over and its pretty quiet so service is quick. I could not decide what to order and had to phone a friend. Actually she phoned me and we decided on the fish red curry and rice and a coconut drink with green jelly. Love those drinks with pearls or custard or beans! OMG westernised maybe, I don't know, I'm no expert, despite adoring Thai food forever, I've only spent a few days in Thailand itself. Our local friend who lived in Chiang Mai, and took us around, was adamant that not every single Thai restaurant was automatically a great place to eat. There were huge differences in quality he explained. In Melbourne I stick to Jindi Thai which I always enjoy. Anyway, I loved my red curry with basil leaf. Fragrant, balanced, and simply delicious. Cant ask for more than that!"

"Unfortunately this was the only restaurant we could invite to breakfast on a weekday. Now we know why. we were not greeted until we had put ourselves away in caffe. When we had set ourselves, we were not offered...Menu's and let us see that we had to order with the Takeaway coffee orders on the switch. we ordered and paid our meals separately within our group. chai tee came out as chai Latte's..both separately ordered so wrong twice. a burger who was drowned in the sauce as if the lid had come out of the bottle. I got French toast, who had mudy and either frozen or old strawberries on it. the female worker who delivered our food was very rude and abrupt, so we were afraid to ask for another service. there was a beautiful fair, short blonde hairy coworkers who was very pleasant, helpful and polite. Thank you for having noticed you."
