"First of all, one of the most awesome places to watch the NBA Finals if I've ever seen one. Every single TV was on the game and they have plenty of TV's. You could hear the game sound and everyone there responded. <br/ <br/ The only reason that I didn't give it a 5 is because the service wasn't all that great. It could have just been a one-time deal, but our server constantly passed our table without refilling drinks. It got frustrating to constantly ask for refills two or three times before getting them.<br/ <br/ As for the food, the pepper shrimp appetizer was amazing! I've never experienced anything like it. It was the most enjoyable part of dinner. We also tried the jerk chicken and the jerk BBQ chicken. I'm not much for onions, so the jerk chicken didn't do a whole lot for me although it was good. The BBQ was another story. The saucy taste with the meaty wings really made for an enjoyable experience.<br/ <br/ I'm only in town for four days, but I will definitely find my way back to Island Mix. The Long Island Iced Tea was awesome as well!"

"Friendly staff and the roti, potato balls, and pholourie are tasty. A good meal for the price. I prefer the beef roti and my wife likes the chicken roti - both are good."

"Three of us pulled off the 401 on a Saturday night for dinner. Food was average but I had to leave a comment because of the terrible service. Getting service took a long time, and when our orders were finally ready 2 of them were delivered 15-20 minutes before mine, and all I'd order was the wing special. Waitress would disappear not to be seen for 10 - 15 minutes. She said my order was accidentally taken to another table but she found it! My companions dinners were pasta dishes that they said were good except the waitress also forgot to bring the salads that went with them. Nor were any condiments every offered. Only staff member that seemed dialled in was an older lady from the kitchen that came out to double check on a special request my son had made to the waitress for his order. While we were there another couple came in, waited 15 minutes for someone to take their drink order and eventually just got up and left. Good call!"

"Ordered takeout. My mother in law who is British really enjoyed her bangers and mash. My little one liked her poutine. I had curry chips which were good but they were WAY BETTER when it was Irish times and a salad which was nice. My carrot cake was small but yummy. I think I really was craving the old menu but I would order again from here! Thanks for the nice dinner."

"Best Thai in the GTA. I love Thai food, I mean LOVE IT!!!! I discovered Hot Mama Noi's a few years back and hold all other thai food up to Mama Noi's standard. So far nothing I have had, has come close to comparable. She cooks everything from scratch using real ingredients and traditional recipes and cooking methods from Thailand. The Red Curry is the best I've had and at absolutely amazing prices. In addition to great food, you can expect great atmosphere from a very kind and friendly staff, and if you are lucky you will even get to chat with Hot Mama Noi herself. It is a deceiving restaurant from the outside, the decor inside is slowly improving over the years, but you don't go to Mama's for the ambiance, you go for the most flavourful and balanced Thai food around. If you live in Toronto it is worth the drive (or Go train ride as it is right next to the station) to Pickering for a great Thai meal."

"Small seating area but adequate. Busy take-out. Clean and cozy. But there may have been a change in management since we were there last.Menu is not the same as posted on this site. Don't order the pad thai unless you just want noodles in sweet and sour sauce. That stops my partner from returning. She only goes for good pad thai.I had chicken sambal fried with noodles but I have made it better at home. Fried spring rolls good but smaller than regular small thai style. Fresh paper rolls too large to hold together from plate to mouth.Not saying this is a bad restaurant but we have walked out happier for the same price at other places close by"

"I tried the J Chicken with Rice Peas and it was pretty good. The chicken tasted fresh and tender but I was a little disappointed with the coleslaw, which ended up just being cooked onions.I'm unsure if I'll be back here, but it was definitely worth trying!"
