"I went for dinner with my family. I have been there before. Food is ok but the service has been poor, but I just go there as it is close to my place. But this time my experience is so bad that I will never go there again. We waited for over 45 mins without even being served a glass of water.They had only one staff serving. After indicating that we were ok to order, she said she would bring a paper, but did not show up for at least 30 mins. When we again asked her to take the order, she got called for something else. When we talked about this to the owner/manager, she was extremely rude and said us to just go. She was extremely rude and aggressive. It is always really long waiting time there and the customer service is really pathetic. The lady at the front counter should be ashamed of her behaviour They dont provide any good service and attitude is so bad. Very busy making money, but employing only one staff. It is the worst restaurant I have ever been to in my life. They must learn some basic customer service.I am going to tell all my friends and acquaintances not to go there. Thumbs down to you Thai Orchid!"

"We visited on a Monday evening and were there the only mozens in this special night. but they don't let it be deterred from venting here. eating is beautiful and authentic and service is very genuine. the taste is delicious. the servier sizes vary, but always come back to individual expectations."

"We went to Thai Mali again after a long absence at the suggestion of a friend celebrating his 72nd. Its a bit out of our way, like about 20 klm, and it was the favourite restaurant of other friends, who moved out of the area, and with the plethora of good eating places in Brisbane, we lost contact.We were welcomed by Tukta, the proprietor who opened it 19 years ago, and being a Monday when its a wonder any restaurants are open at all in Brissy, she had a bit of time to talk to us. I think she misses her long standing customers who have moved out of the area, but having raised her family she is carrying on with enthusiasm and bubbly good humour, and great food.Tricia loves Thai fish cakes, and these together with steamed dim sims provided the entre, which we followed with 2 curries and a stir fry and fried and steamed rices.As we were finishing, we were talking to Tutka about rice in general, and in her enthusiasm she produced a dessert she identified as "sticky black rice and coconut milk". As a rice lover, I can vouch for this , it was "close your eyes speechlessly beautiful". No charge!And all this for just over $25 per head. Gee, I'm glad our friend suggested it.And al thkis"

"Read about they have the best chilli crab in Brisbane therefore I have to try it. But was disappointed that crab is not in season. So we just order other dishes to try and was not disappointed. They tried to recommend dishes similar to the...chilli crab taste. Friendly staff. Will be back for crab."

"I discovered this wonderful and old style Aussie Takeaway because I was at a training course nearby. With all the big chain fast food joints taking over the world with a 'every burger has a pickle ' ideology, it is nice to have an old fashion...Aussie 'The Lot ' burger. The bonus is that if you eat at one of the inside or outside tables you get chips (fries) alongside your burger. For those who have never experienced an Aussie 'The Lot ' burger, let me give you a run down of what it involves. Take a large seeded bun (bread roll) toasted. Add a beef burger, bacon rashers, egg, beetroot, slice of pineapple and BBQ or tomato sauce. Chips on the side and you have a great lunch for $7 AUS. Or try the 'Big Brekky ' (breakfast) bacon and eggs, sausage, fried tomato, chips and toast for $9 AUS. Catch a bus to Logan Rd Buranda and get off near Deshon St. Sam 's is on the corner and is run by a sweet Asian couple who have really captured the true Aussie cuisine. Recomended for a value meal and real Aussie flavour. Cheers!"
