"Le Château de la Rapée - qui n'a de château que son nom, le bâtiment étant un manoir - est un bon restaurant, chic dans sa décoration ancienne, offrant des plats réussis et assez recherchés, où nous ne sommes pas trop lésés en quantité, un service digne de son rang, et un superbe cadre qui influe certainement positivement sur l'appréciation générale qu'on fait de ce restaurant.En effet, se faire servir de la bonne nourriture dans un cadre quelconque reste appréciable, mais se faire servir de la bonne nourriture dans un beau cadre est encore mieux.La seule chose que je reproche quelque peu au Château de la Rapée, en dehors de son prix (mais peut-on vraiment lui faire ce reproche, puisque la qualité a un prix ?), est que sa carte change peu fréquemment, chose dont je me suis fait la réflexion d'une année sur l'autre. Mais, justement, n'y allant pas toutes les semaines, ça ne me gêne pas plus que cela."

"We happened upon this charming, in every sense, Château as we wound our way back to Paris from Normandy. We were greeted with the perfect combination of warmth and professionalism, and served an absolutely delicious lunch on their sunny porch, overlooking paddock, and beautifully manicured grounds.We moved inside to an overstuffed leather couch to savor after lunch coffee and delay our departure just a bit more: our hostess arrived with two complimentary flutes of excellent champagne to celebrate my upcoming French citizenship. We so look forward to a return visit —less than an hour and a half from home!! Our sincere thanks and felicitations to the whole team, for maintaining standards that have made France famous."
