"I was here for a Saturday lunch with a large group after a special function. I must say they coped quite well. The surroundings are extremely pleasant. We were well looked after. There was quite a time lapse in waiting for meals but that was...to a certain extent understandable. My caesar salad with chicken was delightful, not swimming in dressing. Light and crisp with good ratio of ingredients. They kindly gave us a cob loaf for each table while we waited which was appreciated. I'd like to go back with a smaller group"

"I had a booking for a large group last Sunday and it was the best high tea I’ve been to! Lovely staff, great service, delicious food and very generous serves per person. They were very accommodating and easygoing from the organisation prior to the event and throughout the process. Highly recommended!"

"Went there for breakfast on Easter Sunday. Sat downstairs. Only one other couple there. Not sure if there were customers upstairs.Service was slow – handing out menus, taking orders, preparing drinks.No mention of specials.Food was tasty. Eggs Benedict with ham - $17. Partner likes his eggs slightly runny. These were firm. I had the Soho Big Breakfast at $15.50 - 2 eggs scrambled, bacon, chipolatas, spinach, cherry tomato, hash brown, mushrooms, baked beans, toast and hollandaise sauce. I passed on the hollandaise. The baked beans were out of a can. Half a slice of toast. Most places give you 2 slices. Here they couldn’t manage one! Coffees were very good. Large cappuccino and latte for $4.80Also, ordered a banana smoothie. Hmm. Not so good. No bananas. Banana flavouring. No ice cream. Not thick. It was like drinking banana flavoured milk with ice cubes. $7.50 ☹Nothing seriously wrong with Soho. Just over priced average."

"Visited on Sunday, I will never return and I will be passing on this feedback to any family or friends considering visiting. We arrived and were seated quickly, we ordered our coffee and food. Coffee arrived, it was bitter and overly strong despite asking for...half strength and confirming with the staff that we had received half strength. They kindly remade the coffee however unfortunately it came out and was full off foam, we didn’t bother to ask them to remake it again. We ordered our food, it was very quiet, we asked for the Nasi Goreng with no chilli and eggs. We waited minutes before the waitress who took our order asked “you’ve ordered yeah” and I said yes, was a little concerned at this point. All of the tables around us received food despite coming in after us. After minutes the waitress came back over to tell us the nasi goreng couldn’t be made without chilli, they had just started our docket now after minutes. We eventually got our food almost an hour later. All the tables that had come in after us had all eaten and left by the time we got our food. Whilst the food was tasty charging for one thin slice of halloumi is a joke (see picture). The staff didn’t seem to care, to shy to open their mouths, no one admitted to losing the docket they just shrugged their shoulders when we asked where our food was. As I went to leave I went to drink some water and my “clean” cup was putrid (see photo). I am so so so disappointed and angry that I waisted my money on this crap. I will say when we went to pay the lady that appeared to be the manager was very lovely and apologetic and took all the feedback on board. She did give us our coffees for free. It would have just been better if the waitress had owned up to forgetting our docket."

"Been many times, but the food - especially the salt and pepper tofu, and lemongrass and chili bean curd - keep me back. The service can sometimes be bad with communication and waiting times, but most of the times it's okay. I recommend taking away for those who want to try n avoid the service"
