"We were guests on August 19th in the afternoon around 3 p.m. and ordered the dessert menu. I ordered a lukewarm piece of chocolate cake with a scoop of ice cream, which was listed as 9.50 on the dessert menu, but was charged 13.50 without any indication, which I unfortunately only noticed when I got home. I don't really think this is correct. Unfortunately, I have not received a response to my email request to date. Very unfortunate..."

"My husband and I stayed here for one night and ate in the restaurant mainly because they gave us a voucher for a 15CHF reduction as hotel guests. Having stayed in Einsiedeln a fortnight previously (and knowing about the limited choice in the town) we...decided to give it a go. We weren't disappointed and left feeling so full that we had to lie down afterwards! There was only one other party in the restaurant but it was towards the end of the season. We were served by two gentlemen; one that checked us into the hotel and another waiter too. The wine was excellent, as were the portion sizes. We had olives to nibble on for aperitif. For starters we both had the tomato soup which was so tasty and filling that we didn't need another course! For the main course I had a half roasted chicken that came in a basket (a bit dated to us English natives) but cute and rather Swiss. it literally was half of a chicken (quite a large one) with a sauce and a bowl for washing your fingers too. My husband had the mushroom risotto which he said was a little bland but it was a gamble as he wouldn't normally order a risotto so he couldn't compare it to any previous ones. The waiters were attentive and the quality was very, very good. I would recommend the place and if you visit during the daytime the view of the monastery is fantastic."

"Lunch am Sonntag 23. OktoberHeut sind meine Frau und ich nach der Wanderung im Gebiet Einsiedeln etwas hungrig. Da es schon nach 15 Uhr ist haben wir entschieden uns nach einem Wurst käse Salat umzuschauen.Zufällig steuern wir das Seehof etwas ausserhalb von Einsiedeln an fragen nach ob unser Wunsch noch erfüllt werden kann, ja heisst es und so bleiben wir.Der Wurst Käse Salat ist sehr einfach die Sauce auch aber für den Hunger den wir haben ist es genau das richtige.Das Ambiente geht für auf dem Land sicherlich in Ordnung der Service Freundlich und aufmerksam."

"We were here as a work event that showed the cheese production process and the production of cheese itself. we were greeted by a friendly lady who explained what they are doing here. then we made ourselves cheese. 80 liter milk made 16x 1/2 kilo. we had to take part in the process that touches the bloody milk in old: . the female cheesemaker was very good in keeping us involved, answered all our asking and good. We hope to get the cheese in two weeks time, and I can not wait the on-site shop offers great local products. we did not eat here as we had another place, but the restaurant was very busy and the eating looked great."

"This place was recommended because of their meat dishes as have their own butchery... we and our gourmand friends decided to have most their meat dishes cordon bleu, steak, most served with fries and rice and a soup... meat dishes were, well, nothing special... my soup was very salty, tasted and looked exactly the same like in other places... a ready to cook preparation just add boiling water, more salt and maybe some Aromat... Is a kids friendly place. There is a special kids menu, more or less the same but smaller portions. The only thing what we appreciated the most was the wine ordered; a red Swiss wine matured inside the monastery ....The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere, with wooden finishings, everything in order and cleaned as most Swiss standards.Service was unnecessarily hasty since the restaurant wasn't full, the waitress could took it easy with us but looked that she wanted to finish asap, everything cleared and cleaned!... just wanted to continue to finish the fries from the dish, turned to talk and then suddenly the dish was disappeared from the table...Maybe having bratwursts, mulled wine and other hot snacks at the Christmas market stands were of better value than this dining experience but it was so Arctic freezing outside..."

"My man and I found this beautiful restaurant after changing the Christmas market in the rain and it was nice to enter this warm and welcoming place. first they said they couldn't sit us without reservation and said that the people would come to a time, two hours later. I assured her that we will be good and done in this time so that they wanted to sit down. our server was a beautiful and friendly young woman who was very accommodating. I could spill my glass of wine and she was there right away, clean up my chaos and bring me a fresh glass! we had a typical German tariff and everything was delicious! the restaurant is very bright and charming furnished. we highly recommend."

"We hiked there recently, and it was worth the effort! The view is beautiful, the food very traditional and delicious (generous portions). The ladies service g us were extremely kind and very patient with us and our toddler, despite the restaurant being full. It is also a great place to host private events as they have a separate room"

"We have expected that there is only curry to choose from, but the restaurant also offers fitness board with homemade by-products (single off) also the three salatsaucen and the Burger/Nugget sauce are vegan. as dessert there are only two balls pellets for choice. the food was super delicious! it was a friendly service and a great atmosphere. I can only recommend!"
